If you want to know about the requirements for this role, read on for all the relevant information.Medical Claims CoordinatorUS-MI-LansingJob ID: 2024-4618Type: Regular Full-Time# of Openings: 1Category: ClaimsFarm Bureau CenterOverviewMedical Claims Coordinator ObjectiveTo provide technical support and act as a contact point for the Medical Claims Unit/Assigned Claim Unit, resulting in proper disposition of claims.ResponsibilitiesMedical Claims Coordinator ResponsibilitiesWork with computer systems keying functions, including but not limited to letter composition, log entry, time entry, diary entry, report of investigation composition and draft production.Review medical bills for validity, including processing through the fee schedule when applicable. Issue payments as warranted.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all medical claims processing systems.QualificationsMedical Claims Coordinator QualificationsRequiredHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Must possess a valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.PreferredSome college or insurance/medical related coursework preferred.Minimum one to three years medical claims or medical care field experience preferred.Keying skills of 45 wpm required.
