DescriptionAs a Server at Friendship Village you will be a member of a 5 STAR Food and Beverage Team at one of the Nation's Top Senior Living Communities. Servers will provide exceptional table service to Residents in a vibrant and professional manner, always offering them the BEST service imaginable! Servers will work in a positive team-oriented environment with no late nights and surrounded by helpful coworkers. Full-Time 6:30am to 3:00pm with an occasional evening Essential Job Functions:1. Sets tables and maintains work stations in proper order.2. Takes orders, provides service and requested items both graciously and courteously.3. Clears dishes from tables during and after meal service.4. Answers pertinent questions about menu items.5. Prepares therapeutic desserts and salads, as required.6. Transports hot and cold foods to and from the Village Care Center, as needed.7. Transports all required non-food items to and from the Village Care Center, main dining room, and bistro, as needed.8. Maintains sanitation, hygiene and safety standards.Full-Time 6:30am to 3:00pm with an occasional evening Other Duties:1. Assists in maintaining a high level of customer service for our residents and their guest.2. Assists with dish washing and distribution of clean dishes if needed.3. Maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code.4. Completes all assigned cleaning tasks.5. Maintains station equipment and work area in safe and sanitary conditions.6. Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned.7. Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.Full-Time 6:30am to 3:00pm with an occasional evening Requirements1. Ability to read, write, and speak English, perform simple arithmetic, and follow written or oral instructions in English.2. Experience waiting tables in a hotel, restaurant or club with fine dining preferred, but not required. Will train on-the-job.3. Ability to interpret and explain the menu, refer or answer questions, coordinate the meal service process and respond to request.4. Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guest, visitors, families, supervisor and peers. Requires courtesy, tact and graciousness.5.
