We are committed to fostering an environment where our employees can grow, develop their skills, and tackle some of the most exciting projects in the industry.We are on the lookout for a dynamic, enthusiastic and skilled Railcar Repair Welder with mechanical experience to join our team in Boyertown, Pennsylvania. *This role involves extensive travel to various job sites across different states, requiring long blocks of time away from home. *Please do not apply for this position if you are not willing to agree to travel with long blocks of time away from home.Safety is the number 1 priority with First Response Rail Service, so it is vital that all company guidelines and safety rules are followed while on the job. Job Overview:Perform MIG welding tasks with precision and efficiency. Minimum of 2 years of experience in MIG welding. Welding test will be given.Travel to various job sites in different states for extended periodsPerform general labor tasks including but not limited to lifting, carrying, and moving materialsOperate and maintain mechanical equipment and toolsUse of hand tools for equipment maintenance, repair, or fabricationConduct routine inspections and maintenance of machinery to ensure optimal performanceAssist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical systemsFollow safety protocols and ensure a safe working environmentCollaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects efficientlyRequirements:Minimum of 2 years of experience in MIG welding. Welding test will be given.Utilize an oxygen/acetylene (propane) torch for cutting and welding. Experience required.Proven experience in mechanical work, including familiarity with tools and machineryWillingness and ability to travel extensively and stay in different states for extended periodsAbility to constantly work in an outdoor environment, exposed to all weather elements, including extreme hot and cold temperatures, dust and noisy conditionsStrong physical stamina and the ability to perform labor-intensive tasksExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a teamValid driver's licenseAbility to pass background check and pre employment drug screen.Forklift, telehandler, and manlift experience preferredFlexibility to adapt to changing schedules and work environmentsWillingness to work 40-70 hours per week Strong commitment to workplace safetyCompensation and Benefits:Competitive hourly wage, commensurate with experienceTravel expenses covered, including lodging and per diemHealth, dental, vision, life, and disability insurances offeredPaid time off and holiday pay available after training periodRetirement savings plan offeredPIc810a8f03d2e-36310-35747292
