Alturas Analytics, Inc is looking for a Quality Control Associate with a passion for science and a keen eye for perfection. Position Summary: The Quality Control Associate works closely with a team of quality control reviewers to ensure the data integrity of the bioanalytical work performed at Alturas Analytics. Quality control reviewers also:Ensure all reports generated by the technical writing team are consistent with supporting bioanalytical dataReview paperwork produced within Alturas Analytics for good documentation practicesWrite technical procedures related to quality control review functionsThe ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, be able to work independently, possess problem-solving capabilities, and be able to manage incoming workflow with many different deadlines.Essential Duties and Tasks:Reviews all aspects of study-based data and documentation for accuracy; includes data, test methods, and a variety of reportsPerforms quality reviews of all documentation produced by facilities, report writers, laboratory procedures, and data transfer filesAssists with the design and implementation of process improvement activities to improve workflow, data accuracy and report accuracyWorks laterally with scientific staff to assure the laboratory meets regulatory and SOP standardsAssists in developing SOPs and Technical Procedures pertaining to the QC review of data and various critical documentsAdditional Duties and Tasks:Performs other duties as needed or assignedRequirements:Education and Experience Requirements:Bachelor's degree in a science, mathematics, engineering or related fieldWorking knowledge of MS Office suiteNice to have:3-5 years of experience in a bioanalytical laboratory with knowledge of equipment, assays and techniques is preferredA background in chemistry, physical or biological sciencesA working knowledge of laboratory workflowKnowledge of good documentation compliance practicesSkills and Abilities Requirements:Skills in attention to detail, organization of records, and customer serviceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to understand and perform basic mathematical computationsAbility to interpret procedures, regulations, and guidelinesAble to provide and receive constructive feedbackPhysical Requirements:Position requires sitting over 2/3 of the timePosition requires working in front of a computer monitor over 2/3 of the timePosition requires walking less than 1/3 of the time between departments/officesPosition requires standing less than 1/3 of the timePosition requires talking or hearing over 2/3 of the timePosition requires lifting up to 10 lbs. up to 2/3 of the timeAbout UsAlturas Analytics, Inc. is a bioanalytical laboratory dedicated to supporting pharmaceutical drug candidates from discovery through late phase clinical trials.
