Job Title: Lead Analyst - PMO & Portfolio Department: Shared Services & GovernanceReports to: Sr Manager - IT Financial VMO & ProjectsScroll down to find an indepth overview of this job, and what is expected of candidates Make an application by clicking on the Apply button.Location: In Office, Rochester NY, Orange CTThe base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from: $111,544.80 - $139,431Job Purpose Statement This Project Management Lead Analyst will assist in the oversight of the AVANGRID IT portfolio of projects in accordance with Global IT metrics, and key industry processes and standards. The role oversees various programs and projects and provides relationship management on behalf of the AVANGRID IT group with objectives of providing an IT technical solution to meet the requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner. Projects can be funded by both the Business and IT.Accountability StatementsWork with the PMO Team to support demand management processes and standards.Work with project managers to help improve the integrity of project delivery and reporting.Work within the PMO Team to develop specific portfolio change suggestions to help achieve PMO metrics.Work with the project managers to help achieve PMO metrics.Work with project managers to improve their knowledge of project reporting in the IT project management tool - Clarity.Hold meetings with project managers to ensure timely and accurate project updates for tasks - e.g., key milestone and other progress tasks, project highlights, and project risks.Act as a resource for project management directions, provide training and guidance for new Project Managers.Must be able to build and maintain productive relationships with project managers.Work with the PMO Team to identify and implement process improvements to help achieve PMO metrics and improve overall project delivery reporting.DimensionsYou will be part of the AVANGRID IT Shared Services under Financials / VMO / PMO.You will work with both the local and Global PMO teams, in addition to working with project managers and directors across the AVANGRID portfolio.Interfaces with Global counterparts to review solution design and facilitate best practice process considerations in solution design.There are no management responsibilities, but significant influencing responsibilities among project managers with adherence to PM standards and processes.Obtain and maintain a basic understanding of the Capex budget process and impacts to PMO metrics and deliverables.Skills, Knowledge & ExperienceBachelor's degree in business, Information Technology, or a related field. Certification for Project/Program management (preferred).Equivalent work experience will be considered.Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Suite products.Very strong skills in Microsoft Project and Excel.Experience in working cross functionally.Ability to lead, coach and mentor others.Planning & OrganisingProject Management knowledge including proper project scheduling and project structure.Strong problem solving and analytical skills.Ability to multitask.Strong interpersonal & communication skillsAbility to advise and support others - including peer project managers.Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.Professional and confident.Internal and External RelationshipsYou will have the opportunity to work with a variety of project managers across the AVANGRID Companies, and with global teams in a busy, lively, and growing team environment.Role holder will work closely with PMs across all the IT Areas (APPs, TPO, Financials, etc.) to support successful project delivery and reporting.Work closely with IBERDROLA's Global PMO Team.Work closely with Shared Services Financial Team to ensure consistency in reporting of financial results that impact PMO metrics.Engage managers across AVANGRID as needed to manage expectations.Must be a team player with good inter-personal and communicative skills.Minimum Criteria (mandatory)CriteriaProject Management experience or exposureRecord of academic achievement, including some form of recognized qualification from further education, such as a degree or diploma.Good working knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite tools - e.g., Project, Excel, ACCESS, and PowerPoint, etc.Willingness to travel (as needed).Must be a proven team player to work, promote and consolidate efficient team working relationships.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Mobility InformationPlease note that any applicant who is not a citizen of the country of the vacancy will be subject to compliance with the applicable immigration requirements to legally work in that countryAVANGRID's employment practices and policies are geared to hiring a diverse workforce and sustaining an inclusive culture.
