General Summary of PositionRead on to find out what you will need to succeed in this position, including skills, qualifications, and experience.We are actively recruiting for anexperienced pharmacy technician leader to join our team at MedStar GeorgetownUniversity Hospital in Washington, DC in the role of Operations Manager,Pharmacy Technician. This position will primarily be responsible for pharmacytechnicians, which includes but are not limited to, supervision, education andtraining of staff, and involvement in quality assessment and processimprovement. Thesefunctions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulationsand Georgetown University Hospital's philosophy, policies, procedures andstandards.This position is expected to develop, enhance, implement, and provide direction for pharmacy services and initiatives. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, employee supervision, education and training of staff, residents, interns and students, provide leadership and service line development, involvement in quality assessment and process improvement, and serve as an administrative role model.This position is accountable for quality assessment and monitoring; process improvement and ongoing monitoring, maintenance of practice standards, compliance with accreditation standards and applicable laws and regulations. Additionally, this position is expected to coordinate and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure operational efficiency that will have positive impact on patient outcomes. Minimum Qualifications EducationBachelor's degree required Experience5-7 years Management experience in a health care setting required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesEffective verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and independent judgment skills required.Ability to work independently and part of a team.Advanced computer skills and supervisor experience required.Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. This position has a hiring range of $80,995 - $152,027
