Job Summary We are seeking an individual to join our Director, BBD Inbound Banks team at Standard Chartered Bank in New York. The successful candidate will be working with the MD, Banks and Broker Dealers, North America as well as other team members to drive origination, develop strong client relationships and be seen as an expert in Financial Institution by internal and external stakeholders.Check you match the skill requirements for this role, as well as associated experience, then apply with your CV below.The Director role within CIB, FI Coverage, responsible for the Banks and Broker-Dealer (BBD) client coverage includes all aspects of client development, new business generation, setting the broader strategy for the portfolio, and cross-selling Standard Chartered' s solutions and products. The clients this role is directly responsible for are global and require coverage by someone who is experienced and brings deep industry and product knowledge. This portfolio is the banker will work in close coordination with his/her peers and senior management in the US and SCB's other geographies to support clients and deliver the bank's products and services across the footprint.We appreciate self-driven candidates who will be working closely with the wider Client Coverage team, coverage and product partners to develop an understanding of the competitive landscape and identify prospective partners who can address customer needs and accelerate growth. We believe that a willingness to acquire new skills will contribute to success in this role.Key Responsibilities Lead the origination and client relationship management for Americas BBD clients and prospects, including setting the overall client strategic, maintain a deep understanding of the clients' needs and actively engage senior executives within clients to build relationships overtime. Clients will be inbound banks and broker dealers from across the network with a goal to build the Americas business with clients from other core geographies. Act as the subject matter expert and provide sector content and insights that enhances strategic dialogues with clients, Some highly relevant themes are Correspondent Banking, Markets, GCM, Sustainable Finance and liquidity. Adhere to all processes and procedures set out by SCB and BBD Globally. This will be an individual contributor but should be significantly collaborative with senior bankers across the network in order to drive local conversations for inbound business. Expected to come into the team with fresh eyes, dynamic ideas, and appetite to mentor to the junior staff on the team. This individual requires strong understanding of credit risk, risk mitigation, and inherent risks around the correspondent banking business. This role will have a local reporting line and be part of a global team run jointly from NY and HK. They will be expected to participate in all team meetings (where possible), to adhere to guidance around systems and processes, and operate within the FI construct. The final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location. At Standard Chartered Bank, Base pay is only part of the total compensation package.
