We are looking for a motivated and dynamic interns to learn and assist the Workers Compensation Underwriting department. The intern will work closely with the Underwriting team performing business-focus projects and tasks, propose ideas and contribute ways to grow and improve our strategic goals. ResponsibilitiesProcess pricing analysis for large Workers' Compensation policies in preparation for renewals Participate in policy renewal meetings and assist in determining adequate pricing based on overall risk performanceAssist underwriters with gathering information on new business submissions, including reports from Dun and Bradstreet, OSHA, Safety and Fitness Electronic Records System (SAFER), as well as perform google and media searchesMonitor adverse experience and assigned risk favorable reports to determine if any action needs to be takenParticipate in weekly Underwriting meetingsAssist in execution of process improvement initiativesSupport other ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed Qualifications3.0 or above GPARising junior or senior working towards a four-year Bachelor's Degree program with preferred business relevant majors - Risk Management and Insurance; Business Administration or ManagementExperience with MS Outlook, Word, and ExcelDemonstrate analytical, verbal and communication skillsTrack record of taking initiative and managing multiple competing prioritiesLegal Disclaimer: NJM is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
