The ideal candidate will study design briefs and determine requirements, conceptualize visuals based on requirements, prepare rough drafts, and present ideas. In addition, they will develop illustrations, logos, and other designs using software while using the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic. The Senior Visual Designer will work with editors and the creative director to produce the final design.ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:Develop and create visually compelling graphics, layouts, and design elements for print, social, and editorial media.Collaborate with OOC teams to ensure cohesive brand representation.Participate in brainstorming sessions to share new design perspectives and ideas.Stay updated with industry trends and tools to continually enhance our visual assets.QualificationsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in graphic design, Visual Arts, or equivalent experience.5+ years of proven experience as a Visual Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing creative and innovative design work.Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout design.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.Application Process:Interested candidates should submit their resume, portfolio, and a cover letter detailing their design experience and why they are a good fit for this role.Princeton University is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
