Reporting to the President/CEO, the Director of Communications will guide the strategy for all association branding, communications, website, and marketing that articulate the mission and goal of the organization. This position will also track and measure the level of effectiveness of communication materials over time. Primary Responsibilities: Development, management, distribution, and maintenance of all print and electronic collateral. Creates, implements, and maintains communications calendars and strategies Produces weekly e-newsletters including the Multifamily Minute, Multifamily Markup and bi-monthly onsite e-newsletter. Legislative Update and all other email communications including event marketing: Creates all promotional materials for association events and education Oversees the production of all Midwest Multifamily Conference marketing materials, both print and digital Develops monthly mailers Creates membership packets Produces sponsorship marketing materials Responsible for event photography, videography, and graphic design Manage, create, and send texts via texting service Social Media/Website Functions: Oversees design and updates of all websites Oversees and creates all content for IAA Social Media Pages Monitors and reports activity on website, link clicks INsites Magazine Functions: Works with Communications Committee for feature ideas Gathers articles for magazine, takes photographs, writes and edits articles, and investigates new material for magazine as needed to complete edition Works directly with designer and printing company to oversee production Email Distribution: Oversees scheduling and creation of all email blasts Design and distribute weekly newsletters Gather information from the various news sources and staff Gather statistics and report the level of engagement Committee Liaison: Oversee the IAA Communications Committee Responsible for coordinating quarterly meetings Prepare committee agenda, minutes, and board report Government Affairs: Manage advocacy campaigns via Phone 2 Action software Monitor Bloomberg Government subscription for industry news and federal updates Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree (marketing or communications preferred) Two to five years related communications or content production experience Experience overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications The ability to manage a variety of projects simultaneously Experience working with email drip campaigns Strong writing skills Experience working with Adobe InDesign and Canva #J-18808-Ljbffr
