Job SummaryMake sure to apply quickly in order to maximise your chances of being considered for an interview Read the complete job description below.We are seeking a talented Music Director to lead our music program and provide accompaniment during worship services on piano and organ (not required).Job Responsibilities:Provide music that is of appropriate quality for use in a Lutheran liturgy for all Sunday morning worship, Christmas Eve, Holy Week, Lenten, and Advent services.Work with Christian education leaders on children's programs: Sunday School music, vacation Bible school, Christmas programs, and any other special programs.Meet with the pastor or deacon to plan liturgies and select hymns as needed.Attend worship and music committee meetings.Provide music for Holy Trinity members' funerals, as schedule allows.Provide music for weddings held at the church, if desired. The church musician has the right of first refusal to provide music for weddings (unless the family has requested a specific musician).The church musician will set a fair and reasonable fee for weddings and funeral services, which will be paid by the families.Job Type: Part-timePay: $15,000.00 - $20,000.00 per yearExpected hours: 15 - 20 per weekExperience:Piano accompaniment: 2 years (Required)Ability to Commute:New Castle, IN 47362 (Required)Work Location: In person#J-18808-Ljbffr
