AI Imaging and Video UX Designer, Google Researchcorporate_fare Google place Mountain View, CA, USA; New York, NY, USARead on to fully understand what this job requires in terms of skills and experience If you are a good match, make an application.ApplyMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.6 years of experience in product design or UX.Experience designing across multiple platforms, and working with technical/design teams to create user flows, wireframes, and building user interface mockups and prototypes.Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary UX or product teams (motion, interaction, UX research, engineering, content strategy) on technical implementation.Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.8 years of experience in product design or UX.3 years of experience in a cross-functional organization and 2 years of experience leading design projects and 1 year of experience working with executive leaders.Experience in developing detailed mocks and designs to make ideas real in prototypes and products.Experience in creative photography and videography.Ability to learn about novel areas like generative technology and applying them to product design.About the Job:In this role, you will be embedded with a team of research scientists, software engineers, and product managers to develop UX strategy for the future of capture, imaging, and video, through UX visioning, mocks, and working prototypes, focusing on the goals and testing of an AI-powered camera. You'll be at the forefront of research ideas and will have the challenge of turning those ideas into tangible concepts and working functions to test internally and with users. We will turn those working prototypes into plans of record with our product partners, where your designs can influence the way these experiences come to life in Google products, including Google Pixel, AR/VR, Google Photos, and Gemini.You will also be involved in UX strategy, thinking through, and illustrating how we can connect experiences across imaging teams, product areas, and surfaces. You will help to validate some of those ideas by creating high fidelity mocks and prototypes that can be tested in market research to gain confidence in our plan.Responsibilities:Develop UX strategy for creative imaging and video, connecting features, surfaces, and products.Develop mocks that help to show the strategy and gain buy-in.Develop UX for working prototypes with product, engineering, and research, to test out concepts internally and with users.Develop storyboards, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and more to communicate interaction and design ideas.Help define the user experience for new creative imaging and video capture experiences.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
