This role is critical in driving event initiatives that contribute to company pipeline, revenue, and brand visibility. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of managing and scaling events, optimizing performance, and working cross-functionally to deliver impactful outcomes. What you'll be doing:Event Strategy: Oversee the creation of the annual events strategy, calendar, and budget aligned with company goals, focusing on increasing engagement, pipeline generation, and revenue impact.Event Planning: Lead the strategic direction across multiple types of events and activations including, but not limited to, industry events and trade shows, sponsored conferences, roadshows, webinars, roundtables, VIP dinners, and experiences to drive brand awareness, lead generation, and ultimately pipeline and revenue growth.Event Management: Responsible for the overall management and execution of the events strategy including pre-event planning, resource planning and allocation, post-event follow-up, sales collaboration, measurement, tracking and reporting. Develop processes to ensure program quality and a consistent experience for event attendeesResults Measurement: Implement and oversee tools and processes to measure event ROI, tying event performance directly to company KPIs such as lead generation, pipeline creation and acceleration, and closed revenue.Leadership & Collaboration: Lead and mentor the events team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment. Work closely with other departments such as product marketing, brand, sales, and product teams to ensure alignment of event goals with broader company objectives.Vendor & Partner Relationships: Manage relationships with external partners, sponsors, and vendors, ensuring all contracts and agreements support the company's objectives and provide value.Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: Create event experiences that resonate with customers, prospects, and stakeholders, enhancing brand visibility and customer loyalty.Cross-Functional Communication: Act as the primary liaison between the events team and other departments, ensuring event strategies are integrated into broader marketing and sales initiatives.Innovation & Trend Monitoring: Stay updated on the latest trends in event technology, formats, and attendee engagement strategies to continually enhance the impact of our events.What success looks like in this role:Drive measurable impact on pipeline and revenue: You will develop and execute an event strategy that directly contributes to company pipeline growth and revenue goals, generating high-quality leads and sales opportunities from events.Deliver exceptional event experiences within budget: You will manage event budgets efficiently, ensuring all events are executed cost-effectively while maximizing return on investment (ROI) without sacrificing quality.Increase engagement and attendee satisfaction: You will create and manage events that foster increased attendance, high levels of attendee engagement, and strong satisfaction ratings, whether through in-person and virtual formats.Align event initiatives with broader business goals: You will collaborate closely with marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure that events align with broader company objectives and support integrated marketing campaigns.Lead and inspire a high-performing events team: You will build, lead, and mentor a results-driven team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, ensuring your team is motivated and performing at the highest level.Enhance brand visibility and market leadership: You will increase the company's brand awareness and strengthen its positioning as a thought leader by creating high-impact, visible events that attract key stakeholders and industry influencers.Optimize lead conversion and nurture: You will ensure leads generated from events are efficiently tracked, followed up, and nurtured through the sales funnel, contributing to long-term customer acquisition and revenue growth.Flexibility and willingness to adapt: Open to travel and adaptable to working flexible hours, demonstrating a commitment to accommodating the dynamic nature of our event schedule.What we expect from you:10+ years of experience in B2B event management, with a focus on strategy and execution of large-scale eventsProven experience leading both in-person and virtual/hybrid events.Experience managing end-to-end event processes, including budget planning, logistics, and post-event analysisStrong understanding of event marketing principles and how events tie into sales pipelines and revenue growthLeadership experience, including managing and developing high-performing teamsProven history of collaborating across multiple disciplines to meet event goals (marketing, creative, operations, sales, finance etc.)Experience in building and scaling large member communities in-person and virtuallyHighly organized, detail-oriented, with strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize and multitaskCreativity and problem-solving skills, with a track record of developing innovative event strategies.Willingness to travelThe target base salary range for this position is $149,900 - $194,950, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
