The Marketing Director's primary objective is to develop, execute and direct the marketing program. This includes strategic planning, branding/brand management, pursuit tracking and proposal and interview management, client satisfaction initiatives, and implementing best management practices for marketing efforts and business development.Scroll down for a complete overview of what this job will require Are you the right candidate for this opportunitySupervisory Responsibilities:Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff.Oversees the daily workflow of the marketing department.Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.Identifies professional development opportunities and provides in-house industry training, when warranted.Duties/Responsibilities:Budget development/management/expenditure approval.Oversee the development and improvement of RFQ, RFP, and Prequalification responses.Work with sales team to develop presentation strategy, structure, and style and coach the presentation team.Collaborate and proofread storyboard technical sections with technical staff and review/edit their narrative for content, clarity, and compliance.Support department when workload demands to ensure deadlines are met.Oversee branding development and corporate identity initiatives.Develop and implement marketing plans, including promotional calendars and programs, and other marketing projects.Develop marketing department goals in collaboration with the VP of Business Development.Manage agency providers, consultants, freelancers, and other suppliers, including contract negotiation and management.Oversee the operation of the company's website and provide analytic reviews.Monitor and maintain the Marketing Department Project Tracking System.Stay informed of marketing best practices in the construction industry and the larger AEC field to continuously improve the organization's marketing deliverables.Oversee firm image and visibility efforts including, but not limited to, preparation of news releases, award applications, client surveys, advertising, local promotions, and project promotions.Other duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong supervisory and leadership skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.Ability to function well in a high-paced, and at times, stressful environment.Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Express.Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Public Relations, or similar field required.Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in Marketing; similar role in the AEC industry highly advantageous.Physical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
