Founded in 2007, Great Minds now employs more than 1,000 people.For additional information please visit: Job PurposeThe Marketing Meeting & Events Planner will work to coordinate and support Great Minds' presence at more than 200 education tradeshow events and meetings a year. Some travel for on-site support will be required. This highly visible role demands extensive customer service skills, a high level of professionalism and willingness to handle all planning and administrative details of meetings and events. The ideal candidate enjoys thriving in a team-based, challenging, and fast-paced atmosphere where prioritizing and multi-tasking are the norm. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail are a must to succeed in this role.ResponsibilitiesOversee and facilitate various aspects of meeting planning from site selection, event registration, and post-event reporting.Work on multiple national meetings, large-scale conferences and events.Partner with Sales, Success and Product teams to create a strategy for every national event to maximize event attendance and ROI.Nurture and build relationships with vendors and venues while crafting and implementing the creative and logistical aspects of all events.Remain current with trends in event planning, design, and production, and proactively identify and solve operational challenges with internal teams and vendors.Prepare BEO information with event venues.Coordinate travel, lodging and expenses for participants traveling to meetings.Develop and maintain relationships with exhibitors/sponsors.Perform administrative tasks covering meeting preparation, supply ordering, packing/shipping of event materials, and data entry.Create invoices and receipts as requested.Track and code expenses for event budget reconciliation.Create and analyze online evaluations and prepare post-event reports.Other duties as assigned by the Enterprise Events Manager.Evaluate event success and provide evidence-based recommendations to leadership for improvement for future events.Required Qualifications:5+ years professional meeting experience (education experience preferred).Experienced at negotiating and building partnerships with vendors.Exceptional customer service skills.Strong time management skills and ability to manage concurrent tasks efficiently.Superior attention to detail; first class organizational skills.Preferred Qualifications:Up to date on current trends in the meetings industry.CMP certified a plus.Experience with budget preparation and maintenance.Proven project management ability.Innovative and resourceful; actively seeks opportunities to improve meetings and events.High energy, positive, professional attitude, pride in work product.Required EducationBachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (marketing, public relations, communications or related degree a plus).StatusFull-timeLocationRemoteThe expected base salary range for this position is $56,000-$70,000, however the offered salary may be higher or lower than the above range dependent on numerous factors including, but not limited to location, work experience, skills and internal equity considerations.
