In this role, the Director leads a team to develop and execute marketing plans by partnering closely with key stakeholders to ensure seamless brand storytelling across all touchpoints.What You Will DoDevelop and execute marketing plans across key timeframes, categories, and event types, aligning with seasonal sales goals, product priorities, and brand objectives.Cultivate strong relationships with merchants and lead seasonal planning to prioritize product launches and inform event architecture, campaigns, and customer messaging, ensuring brand stories resonate with consumers and drive business growth.Craft innovative marketing activations, such as events and pop-ups, to create buzz and emotionally engage the target audience.Develop clear and compelling creative briefs that leverage customer data, insights, and competitor analysis to guide content and messaging.Balance creativity with data analysis to inform marketing decisions, ensuring brand consistency and effectiveness.Continuously evolve the customer journey, delivering the right message to the right audience at the right time through the right channels.Foster a collaborative environment where marketing, merchandising, and other teams work together seamlessly.Skills You Will NeedCustomer Champion: Deeply understands consumer behavior, preferences, and trends to build meaningful connections.Brand and Merchant Partnership: Proficient in forging integrated partnerships between brands and merchants to amplify marketing efforts and drive business growth.Marketing Planning and Execution: Competent in developing and executing marketing plans aligned with sales targets and business goals.Multi-Channel Marketing: Experienced in deploying marketing strategies across various channels, focusing on experiential, digital, social media, and content marketing.Experiential Marketing: Capable of creating market buzz through experiential activations, including events, pop-ups, and immersive brand experiences.Creativity with Data-Driven Decision-Making: Balances creativity with insights and data analysis to inform effective marketing strategies and decisions.End-to-End Consumer Journey: Skilled in continuously evolving the consumer journey, ensuring engagement with the right audience through the appropriate channels at the right times.Collaboration and Coordination: Coordinates with cross-functional teams, such as merchants and fashion offices, to synchronize product priorities and messaging.Brand Re-imagination: Skilled in re-imagining brands and deploying innovative marketing strategies to revitalize and differentiate them in the market.Industry Expertise: Possesses deep understanding of the retail marketing space, with the ability to bring different brands to life for respective shoppers.Who You AreDedicated to fulfilling ideals of diversity, inclusion, and respect that Macy's aspires to achieve every day in every way.Candidates with a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply. 10+ years of experience in developing and executing marketing plans, with at least 5 years focused on the assigned family of business.Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms.
