A key member of the Executive Team, this individual is a self-starter who rolls up his or her sleeves to keep the JCC and its staff, members, and community informed and inspired. The Director of Marketing & Communications leads the agency in developing and implementing marketing and public relations plans, work plans, and philanthropy communication plans in collaboration with the Executive Team and program leadership. In addition, this individual maintains primary responsibility for the operations, management, and supervision of the agency's Marketing Department and manages independent contractors and volunteers, including writers, designers, photographers and others, and represents the JCC at meetings, seminars and conferences.Essential Functions of The Job Include:Collaborates with senior leadership team, department/program leadership, and other professional staff at the JCC to develop and implement fully integrated and strategic marketing plans to achieve agency objectivesCollaborates with department directors and staff to support their programs with effective communications, program information, and marketing piecesOversees and manages the workflow for all print and digital communicationsWorks with agency staff to keep social media presence relevant and currentPlans and oversees advertising, promotion, and communication activities including print, web, social media, email, video and direct mailDevelops and implements a Style Guide and maintains branding standards throughout all lines of business, promotional materials and eventsWorks with CEO for crisis management/communications when neededDevelops and manages the budget of the Marketing DepartmentManages internal agency communicationsManages and directs the Marketing Department staff with an emphasis on creative direction and project managementWorks with printers, sign companies and other vendors required for communication productionOversees website management, messaging and content, including design, maintenance, updates and linksAttends and participates at JCC Board meetings as assignedOther Responsibilities Include:Designs, replaces, approves all building signage, indoors and outEdits written materials submitted by staffParticipates in staff meetings and staff trainingsParticipates in agency-wide programs and program committees as assignedWorks at events and some evenings and weekends as neededOversees delivery and outgoing mail via partnership with Special Needs ServicesOther duties as assignedSkills Required:Must have strong writing, proofreading and organizational skillsMust have strong interpersonal and customer service skills, including ability and desire to work in a team environment and effectively counsel non-marketing staff on appropriate marketing and branding techniquesStrong social media and photography skills a plusMust be able to meet deadlines and work under pressure, which from time to time may include working beyond the 40 hour work weekExpert Knowledge of Mailchimp, Facebook/Instagram (including Facebook Ads Manager), YouTube, Microsoft Office, Trello or comparable Project Management Software, iMovie and Lightroom or comparable photo and video editing software, Survey Monkey, Dropbox, Zoom, and TeamsProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, Google Analytics, Formstack and NetpulseProven aptitude for learning and implementing new and proprietary software applicationsRequired Qualifications:Relevant college degree plus a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in marketing and communication experienceMin. 3 years design, layout and pre-press experience.#J-18808-Ljbffr
