The Manager, Social Media - YouTube is responsible for managing Major League Soccer's YouTube channel(s). This position will be responsible for handling video uploads, producing content, and optimizing video for MLS' YouTube channel. They will help produce content with MLS Social, Video, and Editorial teams and will decide how to distribute across YouTube to help achieve our objectives. As a key player in helping grow the MLS fan base (from the MLS club level to the league level) and supporting all elements of the MLS ecosystem, including our partnership with Apple TV, the Manager will help manage the process in which we create and publish content during the week and on matchdays across YouTube.Considering applying for this job Do not delay, scroll down and make your application as soon as possible to avoid missing out.ResponsibilitiesPlan, create and post content for MLS YouTube channel on weekdays, evenings and weekends (game, big event, and desk coverage required).Develop process for scheduling the upload of YouTube content.Set the weekly & monthly schedules for videos across YouTube.Coordinate uploads of new videos and promotional content with the production video team.Collaborate on the content calendar and day-to-day publishing of social content in MLS tone & voice.Collaborate with paid media team to create strategy around optimizing YouTube content for optimal performance.Identify content creators across YouTube to collaborate with across MLS social channels.Provide and manage live match coverage on weeknights and weekends.Manage and implement programming around key events including but not limited to MLS All-Star, Decision Day, and MLS Cup, while working cross-departmentally to ensure all organizational and objectives are met.Collaborate across the enterprise on strategies that leverage players, partners, influencers, and/or celebrities to achieve enterprise-wide metrics.Manage administrative tasks for the social team, including but not limited to file management, invoice processing and tracking social accounts.Additional responsibilities as assigned.QualificationsBachelor's Degree or equivalent.5+ years of experience, with 2+ years of experience in Social Media (specifically YouTube) Marketing, or Sports.Required SkillsAbility and willingness to travel and to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Prior corporate experience with YouTube management.Proficiency in both long form and short-form video content, specifically for YouTube and YouTube Shorts.Prior experience managing brand YouTube channel.Knowledge of soccer, MLS clubs, the U.S. Men's National Team and Canada Men's National Team.Passion for and experience in social media marketing, with strong understanding of trends and standard methodologies.High-level of commitment to a quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity and compliance.Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team environment.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills.High attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.Knowledge of the Spanish Language (business proficiency).Total RewardsStarting Base Salary: $75,000 - $85,000.
