We're looking for an experienced setter, interested in a flexible schedule, to oversee our routesetting program.Applying for this role is straight forward Scroll down and click on Apply to be considered for this position.DescriptionHead Route Setter Job DescriptionInsight Climbing & Movement is looking for a Head Routesetter to manage our setting program across two locations in Bainbridge Island, WA (full-service) and Bremerton, WA (bouldering), both a short ferry ride from downtown Seattle.We're seeking an experienced routesetter looking for a flexible opportunity; this is a part-time role of approximately 20 hours per week (or 7-8 setting days per month with additional admin time) which can be arranged on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly schedule (for example, 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off). Depending on experience and interest, this could take the form of either Head Coach or an Assistant Coach within the program and could consist of an additional 6-12 hours per week.The work:Create a fun, safe, and challenging climbing experience for every ability level and body type through our routesetting program.Manage the routesetting team including hiring, training, developing, managing, and if necessary, terminating.Maintain consistent grades and manage route turnover in alignment with company strategy.Commitment to highest safety standards and use best industry practices for working at height.Participate in facility maintenance including walls, belay equipment, and inspection of setting hardware.Continuously seek opportunities to develop skills, including setting, personal growth, and leadership.Your background:4+ years route setting experience in an established commercial program.2+ years in a routesetting leadership role.Rope system knowledge (safety, haul systems, work at height, etc.).Demonstrated ability to lead others using kind, clear, and respectful communication skills, including experience hiring, training, delivering corrective feedback, and terminating when needed.Collaborating with management to meet the setting needs of a commercial facility.Innovative and creative thinker who enjoys exploring new ideas.Able to work 15+ hours/week in a physical capacity.Willing to work outside normal business hours including early mornings, evenings, and weekends around competitions and gym events.Able to climb/forerun V9/5.13.USAC Level II Setter Certification or higher.Experience setting USAC Local and Championship competitions.Compensation:$29-35/hour, dependent on experience.20 hours/week (per job description, additional hours may be available).Schedule flexibility available (weekly/monthly).401k.Health insurance stipend.120 hours PTO per year.Annual education stipend as well as paid training, professional development, and internal growth opportunities.Industry discounts.Free gym membership, discounted memberships for family.#J-18808-Ljbffr
