We encourage all to apply.About the Role:Musicals by Candlelight is a captivating live music concert in London, set against the enchanting glow of candlelight, and offering a fresh take on beloved musical theater songs.TodayTix Group is excited to bring the show to Washington, DC this November and December, and we are looking for freelance Event Managers to join our on-site events team. This is a freelance position with hours that will vary month to month based on event schedules. There may also be opportunities to work on additional events produced by TodayTix Group. We require candidates to be available on all of the initial performance dates listed below:November 14thNovember 15thDecember 12thDecember 16thDecember 17thThe initial contract will also include at least two days of pre-production work (early November, dates TBC but flexible around your availability) and one day of post-production work (likely 18th December). Applications for these roles will close on Monday, October 21st.If you're passionate about musical theatre and have a track record of managing successful productions, we'd love to hear from you!Please note: this is a freelance role with hours that vary between the months of November and December. Qualified candidates must be based in the Washington D.C. area as this is an on-site position.The rate for this position is $400/day.What You'll Do:Set up and execute performances to a high quality based on detailed instructions provided by the Producer.Ensure the performance days run on time (including pre-show set up, rehearsals and post-show packing up).Serve as the main "on the ground" point of contact for performers and venue.Provide feedback on event issues to the Producer.Oversee on-site logistics and handle any operational challenges.Check tickets on the door during the audience's incoming.Address customer inquiries and, if necessary, resolve any complaints.Complete event and incident reports as necessary.Manage unforeseen situations and emergencies.We're Looking for Someone With:2+ years of experience in theatre and/or live event management.A passion for live performances and a dedication to delivering exceptional events.Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.Strong customer service and people skills.Calm and assertive under pressure.A proactive and positive approach to work.Good to Know:TodayTix Group is committed to creating a diverse and equal workforce.
