Berns Communications Group (BCG), which builds brand and executive leadership profiles through strategic communications and our retail advisory platform, is hiring an experienced Social Media and Digital Engagement Manager.The successful candidate will have at least five years' experience creating and executing successful digital engagement/social media strategies and bring exceptional graphic design and writing skills to our firm. This person should also have the ability to create engaging text, image and video content to amplify announcements, successes, thought leadership and events for BCG, our clients and three industry influencer networks: the Retail Influencer Network, The DealmakeHers and The Z Suite.In addition, the Social Media and Digital Engagement Manager will create graphic and text layouts for email invitations, presentation decks and other digital communications and provide design oversight for our own company website and those of our influencer communities.The successful candidate will be located within the Greater New York City area and be able to work on-site in our Midtown Manhattan office two days a week. BCG offers generous benefits and PTO, as well as professional development opportunities and a collaborative, inclusive work culture.To apply, please email your resume to abiggs@ along with a link to your portfolio or three samples of your work.Responsibilities: - Create unique social media strategies for Berns Communications Group (BCG), three industry influencer networks (the Retail Influencer Network, The DealmakeHers and The Z Suite) and selected clients based on business objectives and content requirements; provide strategic counsel to internal and external teams.- Create engaging text, image and video content to amplify BCG's and our clients' messages and successes across LinkedIn, Instagram and, potentially, TikTok, YouTube and other platforms.- Engage and grow social audiences for BCG and its clients to strengthen their positioning as thought leaders in their respective industries.- Monitor social platforms for business development and other opportunities and manage communities, including responding to feedback and comments when appropriate.- Create and manage cross-platform social media calendars and simple analytics reports that capture key metrics, takeaways and optimization strategies.- Attend BCG and industry events in the New York area and capture and edit photos and video to leverage across platforms.- Proactively research industry developments and creative, cultural and economic trends to identify social media opportunities for BCG and its clients.- Create other digital communications as needed, such as graphic and text layouts for email invitations to industry events, slide decks, and pitches and presentations.- Oversee design of the websites for BCG and our influencer networks, providing design/layout counsel and liaising with our content team and web developer to update them regularly as needed.Requirements:- Five or more years of experience leading social media efforts (agency or in-house), including developing and executing social content strategies that support defined business goals.- Design background/formal training in graphic design and ability to describe simple design concepts in words to non-designers.- Exceptional proficiency with major social platforms that BCG and its clients rely on most (LinkedIn and Instagram) and experience with TikTok, YouTube, Threads, X and other major platforms, including knowledge of best practices, trends, tools and features.- Excellent writing and verbal communications skills, with a strong grasp of spelling, grammar, common business terms, and appropriate tone and usage for each major social platform.- Photo- and video-editing experience, including proficiency with Canva, iMovie, Photoshop/Adobe Creative Cloud or equivalent programs.- Website/digital design experience; web development experience a plus.- Knowledge of social analytics and ability clearly and concisely communicate results of specific social strategies and campaigns to internal and external teams.- Business acumen and the ability to discern the impact of different levels of earned media coverage.- Self-starter with strong analytical skills, a sense of urgency, attention to detail and a positive attitude.- Experience with Sprout and Later social media management tools.Apply Here #J-18808-Ljbffr
