One or more of the following are strongly preferred:Ability to visually storyboard early experience design concepts and narratives a plusDemonstratable skills in developing user personas and profiles, use cases and user journeys that shape experiences in the built environmentGraphic design, infographic and diagramming skills (Adobe Illustrator, InDesign)Design writing skillsExperience with user research and community engagement activitiesUndertake 3D modeling and design workAssist with preparation of reports, drawings, sketches, modelsDevelop, document, and present concepts and designs using 2D and 3D drawing toolsPractice creative coding and creative applications of technology to develop design solutionsWrite concept briefs to convey design ideasParticipate in meetings, design reviews, and coordination sessions with clients and design teamsDevelop solutions to design issues using listening, critical thinking, application of knowledge, and visual demonstrations to clientsIs this role right for you?We're looking for graduates who are curious and ready to evolve how you think and work. If you can share your knowledge and ideas and encourage others to do the same; whilst having a desire to deliver excellent services for clients - we'd like to hear from you.QualificationsRequired:Bachelor's Degree in Acoustics, Music, Interactive Media, Audio/Sound, Architecture, Physics, Computer Science, Mechanical, or Electrical EngineeringStrongly demonstrated coursework in your field of interestSkills in planning and organizingAbility to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible wayAttitude of taking initiative, enthusiasm, and eagerness to learnEvidence of past internship or extracurricular activity in the fieldHistory of technical presentations and technical writingPresentation skills with colleagues and clients of all levelsProven ability to perform in a deadline environmentThe ability to prioritize effectively, balance assigned workExceptional organization skills required for our constantly evolving environmentStrong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based workingPreferred:Master's Degree in User Experience Design, Exhibit Design, Physical Computing or closely related fieldA background/training in music practice, playing of a musical instrument can be usefulEvidence of personal investment in academic or extracurricular fieldArup is the creative force at the heart of many of the world's most prominent projects across our industry.
