The Creative Project Manager is responsible for managing the broad spectrum of projects produced by Audubon's creative department, ensuring alignment on creative needs, timelines, and budgeting, and on-time, on-spec delivery of high-quality products that support organizational goals. The Creative Project Manager must be detail-oriented, work well independently and within and among teams, and thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment of design, photo, and video professionals. This position is a member of Audubon's Creative & Editorial team and reports to the Senior Creative Director.Please make an application promptly if you are a good match for this role due to high levels of interest.There is a preference for this role to be hybrid out of our New York City office, but we will also consider remote.Compensation:Salary range based on geo-differentials:$70,000-$75,000/year = National$80,000-$85,000/year = Alaska, CA (not San Francisco), Connecticut, D.C., Chicago, Oyster Bay, NY$90,000-$95,000/year = NYC (not Oyster Bay), San Francisco, SeattleEssential Functions:Juggle a large volume of work effectively, balancing extremely tight turnaround projects with long-lead work, ensuring that projects are on track and accomplish operational targets.Manage communication with internal clients and external project partners, including members of Audubon's executive team and office of the CEO.Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding specific projects, explain and clarify the creative team's work process and project parameters, and manage vendors.Create project timelines, coordinate reviews and revisions, and assist with the proofing process, ensuring all parties required have reviewed and provided changes and/or approval by the established deadlines. Manage versions and delivery of final files.Maintain and review daily work schedule with the creative team, helping to assess capacity, prioritize tasks and make and communicate necessary revisions to timelines.Schedule stakeholder meetings, take notes, and create follow-up tasks for the creative team.Collect and track documents for vendor payments and reconcile expenses on the team credit card.Distribute and archive creative team project deliverables. Maintain a resource library of templates and other creative products for the Audubon network's use and help identify opportunities for additional assets.Organize and maintain project folders on Box.Establish and improve logical processes and workflow for jobs in Asana boards and portfolios in consultation with the team. Coach and train new creative team members and other partners on workflows.Provide administrative support to the creative team as necessary.Other job-related duties as assigned.Qualifications and Experience:At least 5 years of professional experience or training in project management and/or creative production.Bachelor's degree required. An equivalent combination of education and work experience will also be considered.Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a diplomatic approach.Must have an understanding of the creative and production process and the ability to help guide the internal team and external partners to produce creative work.Employ a collaborative work style; able to facilitate among diverse communities and individuals; can inspire top performance in others; willingness to pitch in.Must possess strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills.Experience with Asana or similar project management software is required.
