Senior Communications Manager

The Communications team at Chainalysis is made up of public relations experts, trained economists, and skilled writers who leverage data-driven insights to demonstrate that Chainalysis knows the most about what's happening on blockchains. We're vibrant storytellers who produce cutting-edge original research that has been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times, Reuters, Bloomberg, and more.If you are interested in applying for this job, please make sure you meet the following requirements as listed below.The Senior Communications Manager must be a strong writer and storyteller, savvy media strategist, analytical and data-driven thinker, and motivating agency manager. Your success in this role will be measured by the quality and quantity of our media coverage, social media engagement, website traffic, and the number of customer leads our content generates.In this role, you'll:Manage thought leadership and research-driven media campaignsDevelop close relationships with key business, finance and tech journalists at major publications in the mainstream media and cryptocurrency-specific news outlets and secure top-tier coverage across print, online, and broadcast mediaSeize opportunities with the media around breaking news related to cryptocurrency regulation, market news, and/or criminal activitySystematically test new channels to reach audiences who don't know us yetTrain and maintain a bench of expert spokespeopleWe're looking for candidates who have:Managed a global PR agency and collaborated with a small in-house teamDesigned and run data & content-first media campaignsThrived in a fast-paced environment and comfortable seizing unexpected opportunitiesBuilt relationships with top-tier media outlets and regularly work with reporters and influencersA degree in journalism, the liberal arts, or another writing-intensive programNice to have experience:Experience as an employee in the cryptocurrency industry and/or as a crypto userThis position is ineligible for visa sponsorship.About ChainalysisBlockchain technology is powering a growing wave of innovation.
