The Marketing and Communications Manager plays a crucial role in raising awareness, engaging stakeholders, and securing support for the school's mission and programs. This position requires a combination of marketing, communications, and event coordination skills to effectively promote the organization and drive its success.Reporting to the Assistant Head of School for Advancement, the Marketing and Communications Manager collaborates with the Advancement team. This position is responsible for supporting the advancement efforts of the school, comprising marketing and communications, admissions, and development. This position involves implementing marketing strategies, managing communication channels, and coordinating admissions and development activities and events.Essential FunctionsMarketing and Communications:Develop and implement marketing plans and campaigns to promote the organization's mission, programs, and events.Create engaging content for various communication channels, including website, social media, newsletters, and media releases.Design marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, and signage.Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing efforts and adjust strategies as needed.Digital Marketing:Manage social media accounts and develop content calendars to maintain a consistent online presence.Monitor social media trends and engage with followers to enhance brand visibility and engagement.Utilize email marketing tools to create and distribute newsletters and promotional materials.Create content for online advertising.Fundraising and Development:Assist in planning and executing fundraising campaigns and events.Maintain donor databases and ensure accurate and timely donor acknowledgments.Conduct prospect research and assist in donor stewardship activities.Collaborate with the development team to identify funding opportunities and cultivate donor relationships.Event Coordination:Coordinate logistics for events, including planning, communication, programming, and registration.Develop event materials such as invitations, programs, and signage.Provide on-site support during events to ensure smooth execution and positive participant experience.QualificationsBachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field.At least 3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or related role.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media management and email marketing software.Excellent organizational and project management skills.Solution-oriented mindset with a positive attitude, proactive approach, customer-service mindset, and ability to motivate.Willingness to complete detail-oriented tasks as well as think strategically and creatively.Strong storytelling and communication skills (written, oral, and presentation) to effectively communicate the School's vision and case for support.A results-oriented self-starter who can work both independently and collaboratively in a fluid environment.Well-developed strategic, critical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Strong interpersonal skills, including tact, diplomacy, confidentiality, and judgment.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Passion for the organization's mission and dedication to advancing its goals.Enthusiasm for working in a school environment with students.POLICY OF NON-DISCRIMINATIONRoycemore is an equal opportunity employer.
