Experienced, senior-level assistant needed for executive office of a professional association in Alexandria, VA. Duties include day-to-day support to the CEO, COO, and National Governing Board, and governance matters such as the nominations/leadership development process, national committees, and officer visits to chapters.Experience, qualification, and soft skills, have you got everything required to succeed in this opportunity Find out below. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Maintaining CEO's calendar Scheduling meetings Staffing committees and boards Preparing meeting agendas and board minutes Making travel arrangements and creating detailed itineraries Preparing, reviewing, submitting, and tracking expense reports Proofreading emails and correspondence Coordinating logistics and preparing materials (chapter officer and demographic information) for CEO and national officer visits to chapters and other association meetings Serving as staff liaison to the Board and other committees Organizing and maintaining National Bylaws and Policies and Procedures Providing support during National educational/training events, as requested (this may include some out-of-town travel) Managing all aspects of national awards and scholarship programs Managing nominations process and governance programs This position requires a high level of discretion, tact, judgment, maturity, and poise. A high degree of skills in grammar, spelling, and punctuation are essential. Some travel is required. Minimum Requirements: 3+ years of administrative experience in a business office environment, with at least two years of experience supporting a senior executive Must possess high levels of verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Must be collaborative, well-organized, detail-oriented, and a self-starter Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint College degree.
