DescriptionYou could be just the right applicant for this job Read all associated information and make sure to apply.ARM Group is looking for a self-driven, energetic, experienced Senior Civil Designer who embodies an ownership mentality. As a Designer, you will collaborate with a team of multi-disciplined engineers and scientist, project managers, and other staff to meet the high standards of service we provide to our client's. This role will support a wide range of projects related to civil & site land development for Industrial, Commercial, and Residential industry clients and may also work on projects within other business sectors such as solid waste, environmental services, oil and gas, water resources, wastewater, and geotechnical services.ResponsibilitiesEfficiently generate grading plans, profiles, sections, and details using AutoCAD and Civil 3D for various clientele, such as commercial and industrial developers, municipalities, etc.Prepare earthwork cut/fill analysis and provide reporting to other team members for use in preparing project designsProduce maps, diagrams, and profiles, using cross-sections and surveys, to represent elevations, topographical contours, subsurface formations and structures.Draft plan and profile views of plans, such as street, storm drain, sewer, water and other underground improvements, using smart labels, and other methods.Understand the order of work and method of presentation, based on different drafting requirements for each agency.Finish and duplicate drawings and documentation packages, according to required mediums and specifications for reproduction using blueprinting, photography, or other duplicating methods.Ability to address redlined comments from public agency or internal review.Review rough sketches, drawings, specifications, and other engineering data received from civil engineers to ensure that they conform to design concepts.Generate earthwork models and utilize Civil 3D tools to perform quantity calculations and prepare "heat maps" depicting areas of deep cut and/or fill.Support professional and technical staff in preparing project deliverables.RequirementsMinimum of 5 years of AutoCAD drafting and grading plan experience.Candidate must have proven drafting presentation skills, must be proficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.Ability to prepare conceptual designs utilizing a combination of technology including Google Earth, Infraworks, AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D as appropriate.Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, drawings, and exhibits.Background knowledge in the land development designs including grading, stormwater, and utility layout.Must have computer literacy in Microsoft Word and Excel.Should be accustomed to completing work with limited supervision, on budget, within expected timeframes, and be comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary team environment or independently. Secondary degree in CAD/Survey Technology or Engineering preferred.A self-starter possessing strong communication, planning and organizational skills, and be adaptable.Desire to work on multiple projects in parallel rather than a single large project for months.#J-18808-Ljbffr
