The Company's portfolio of digital assets, including its local TV station websites, The Hill and , are collectively a Top 10 U.S. digital news and information property.Title: Director, Marketing, National Spot OrganizationReports to: EVP, Platform Marketing & Intelligence and SVP, National Sales (NSO)Salary Range: $150K - $160KLocation: New York (685 Third Ave)Position Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled creative Director of Marketing to join our team. This role will be instrumental in driving marketing initiatives across our national media properties and local TV stations. The successful candidate will lead the ideation, planning, development, and execution of marketing and multi-market campaigns and/or custom client solutions and opportunities across all platforms and assets. Will develop and execute strategies and sales collateral to drive marketing effectiveness. Will generate new ideas and solutions for multi-market campaigns across local stations. Requires close collaboration with sales, marketing, PR and communications, as well as local market station personnel to ensure alignment and integration of marketing efforts.Key Responsibilities:Responsible for ideating, developing, and executing integrated local media marketing plans across multiple markets, leveraging local insights and data to drive results. Maximize ROI for all campaigns.Develop and execute marketing campaigns across Nexstar's national media properties, local TV stations and digital assets ensuring consistency and effectiveness. Plan, implement and optimize campaigns across various channels to achieve performance.Build and leverage relationships across local stations to better serve the business. Connect with NSO sales leadership and AE's across regional offices including New York, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas and Hollywood, CA.Develop sales packages, collateral, playbooks, and data-driven resources to support the sales team in effectively engaging with clients and closing deals.Create compelling sales presentations, one-sheets, and cross-platform sponsorship opportunities that engage advertisers and drive revenue across our news, sports, entertainment, and lifestyle programming.Proactively work with internal sales team(s) to develop new revenue-generating opportunities and sponsorship packages connected to our IP/talent/brands.Develop and execute marketing strategies that enhance our product positioning and market share.Provide sales support on new product launches, go to market plans, sales collateral, market research, etc.Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, competitive offerings, and new opportunities for business growth.Responsible for the direction, production, and scheduling of marketing messages, scripts, spots, campaigns, tent pole events, and other creative.Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local organizations, influencers, and consumer groups.Leverage social media and other digital platforms to engage with the audience and amplify marketing campaigns.Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in marketing activation, market research, and influencer marketing to ensure innovative and effective strategies.Launch marketing programs to support initiatives and platforms that drive growth.Create and launch in-app campaigns to drive or improve engagement.Understand the competitive landscape in the market and factors that are impacting growth, including analysis of reach and market penetration.Develop and maintain best practices and standards in marketing materials and strategies across channels.Uphold brand standards and guidelines across all news-related visuals, graphics, and promotional materials, maintaining an established and recognizable brand presence.Collaborate with the research department to understand viewer insights and translate those insights into creative strategies that entertain, enlighten, and engage our audience.The Essentials:Bachelor's degree preferred.10+ years of experience in advertising/media marketingEstablished relationships with marketing brand teams preferredExperience developing and executing local media marketing strategies and opportunitiesDeep understanding of local media activation and a passion for connecting with clients/consumersExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.Ability to think creatively, strategically, and analytically.Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Clear and concise communication, oral and written.Strong presentation skillsAbility to perform well in a highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment.Deep understanding of the sales process and customer journeyProven ability to identify, understand, and assess local market trends.Strong understanding of local media landscape and vendors.Nexstar offers full time employees a comprehensive benefits package to include medical, life and short-term disability insurance, worker's compensation, and unemployment insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid holidays, paid vacation, paid sick time, employee assistance program, bereavement leave, jury duty service time off, military leave, and medical/maternity & family leave.Nexstar is committed to attracting, developing, and retaining the industry's top talent.
