Senior Gender ConsultantSUMMARYWe are seeking a dedicated, experienced and versatile Gender Consultant to play a pivotal role in addressing and promoting gender equity in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI).Job Type: Consultant (at least 4 hours per week)Duration: Till June 2024ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIESProvide expertise and guidance in ensuring that AI technologies, policies, and practices are developed and applied with a strong focus on gender equality, and inclusivity.Work closely with various verticals of Wadhwani AI to identify and mitigate biases in algorithms and datasets, ensuring that AI systems do not perpetuate harmful stereotypes or discriminate based on gender.Oversee the integration and application of gender analysis findings throughout the program's lifecycle, which encompasses gathering, examining, and reporting sex-disaggregated data and other data sensitive to gender considerations to contribute to adaptive management, evidence-based decision making, and proper reporting.Guide the team to summarize research to generate and synthesize evidence on gender equality and women's empowerment, and drafts or arranges for the preparation of "Success Stories".Provide guidance to the team to design programs for staff, stakeholders, and the AI community to raise awareness about gender issues in AI and provide tools for gender-inclusive AI development.Provide guidance to the team to collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and relevant organizations to promote gender-inclusive AI initiatives and programs aligned with WIAI objectives.Plan for regular opportunities to identify lessons learned and implications for the project's next steps.Oversee development of reports, presentations and templates for effective internal use and dissemination of reports at state & national levels.QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCEMaster's degree in Gender Studies, or another related field.A minimum of ten (10) years' of relevant experience in designing, managing, and implementing programming with a strong gender focus.At least ten (10) years of experience with gender integration in programming, and in working with gender issues related to girls' and women's empowerment.At least five (5) years' experience in the development and implementation of gender-focused training for entities such as NGOs, government departments, agencies, or ministries; or private-sector organizations.Experience in developing high-impact, innovative gender tools and materials.REQUIREMENTSQuick learner, adaptive, flexible and a team player.Excellent communication skills (writing and speaking).Proven experience to work with high stake stakeholders of government & donors.Demonstrated experience in the design, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation of gender-sensitive integrated program activities.Skilled in successfully working with geographically dispersed teams and working in a multicultural environment.Ability to travel as required.Click here to Apply#J-18808-Ljbffr
