FIRST Solutions is the proprietary strategic meetings management model offered by FIRST, which embeds specialist talent into organizations to provide Content, Creative, Digital Technology, Management & Delivery, and Data & Insights. The Senior Manager, Event Technology is responsible for supporting our client with an assigned book of work as it relates to event technology, event websites/apps, data management and other analytics.This role is responsible for assisting clients in navigating registration websites, supporting new technology platforms and data management while liaising with the event delivery team. This role will assist the events team by implementing and supporting new technology platforms, as well as utilizing advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel to manage event information lists and appropriate reporting. This role may also need to provide support to clients needing assistance with their event and meeting coordination. There is a requirement for onsite events to travel domestically or abroad as required.Your ContributionsAdvise on user experience of all pre-event and onsite registration for both virtual and in-person eventsImplementation and project management of event registration websites, app builds and all technological aspects of our eventsTroubleshoot technical issuesManage client evaluation communications such as save-the-dates, invitations, registration, confirmations, etc.Database management to ensure consistency of information, accurate data, inputting new data when required and generating lists upon requestEffectively communicate with internal and external clients via available communication lines; responding to all client queries within the agreed service level agreementsWork with Event delivery team on overall program logistics, production, and implementationCoordination of name badges, tent cards, place cards, departure notices, email confirmations, agenda, signage etc. where appropriateRegistration desk flow design and set upLead contact for attendee management and technology vendors including pre-event and during executionAssist in contacting clients for relevant information pertaining to the eventCreate and distribute post-event client surveysCoordinate planning and utilization of mobile apps. May assist with build depending on platform.List manipulation to provide team members with relevant registration data, year on year statistics, and insight into varied elements and event analyticsManage relationships with technology suppliers including the negotiation of contractsReview and manage any relevant third-party vendor invoice reconciliation e.g. badging / attendee tracking etcProvide the client with cost savings / value adds whenever possibleMentor team members and manage a team, which may include up to 4 direct reports. Management responsibilities include:Managing vacation schedules for direct reports ensuring coverage for the client at all times including providing coverage when team members are out of the office on vacation or for an eventOversee workload of the team ensuring day to day understanding of capacity/pressure pointsManagement of staffing assignments, considering individual team members capacities and capabilitiesManagement of personal development reviews for direct reportsLead and motivate direct reports, encouraging a productive and positive atmosphereAssist with training of new joiners and mentoring existing team membersWhat We Are Looking ForPlease be aware that we know experience does not always look like we describe it. If you believe you would be an excellent fit for this role, please apply - we would love to see how you could fit at FIRST.Bachelor's Degree required8+ years' of experience in Attendee Data Management and Event Technology including meeting planning and coordinationStrong proficiency with registration website platforms such as Cvent, Splash, Certain, Aventri, Eventbrite other registration website platformsExperience with virtual meeting and event platforms such as Intrado, GlobalMeet / TalkPoint, Zoom, WebEx, SpotMe, Concise Chime or other virtual meeting and event platformsExperience in integrating customer relationship management software, such as Marketo, Salesforce, Dealcloud with event registration management systems such as CventProficient programming skills such as computer coding (HTML, CSS and/or JavaScript)Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office - specifically with Excel (comfortable with VLOOKUP function) and PowerPointADMINISTRATION & GENERALExperience managing a team of employees is a plus, but not requiredFlexible and willing to work outside of normal business hours (evenings, weekends) and travel when required to be on-site at events and/or troubleshoot remotelyAdvanced project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent written and oral communication skills at all levelsExtensive industry knowledge of new suppliers, services, and best practicesStrong client management skills with the ability to influence and lead by example, fostering a positive environmentStrong ability to create best practice and take on new initiatives independentlyClient centric, approachable, ability to adjust to client needs and style and deepen relationships in support of their business and programs; adapt to ever changing demands and different client work stylesMotivated, self-starter, ability to take direction and work independently; ability to think innovativelyUnited States Residents: The base pay for this position ranges from $90,000 to $120,000.
