This team knows how to bring fun into their everyday life, prioritizing team connection & creative sessions together.THE ROLE:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as a Design Manager. This role demands a combination of leadership, creativity, technical expertise, and a keen eye for industry trends. The successful candidate will drive the development of innovative design concepts in seamless activewear, manage product lifecycles, and collaborate closely with various stakeholders to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality and market relevance.IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:Lead and mentor the design team in brainstorming, developing, and co-creating seasonal concepts and designs.Foster strong collaborative relationships with retail partners to seamlessly integrate commerciality with innovation.Conduct thorough research on industry trends, color direction, and fabric sourcing, and provide comprehensive reports.Monitor customer feedback and market shifts, proactively responding to consumer trends to maintain a competitive edge.Prepare and deliver high-quality presentation materials, including market research analysis, trend books, and look books, using digital platforms such as Squarespace and FlippingBook.Ensure all customer calendar deadlines are met for meetings, samples, and sketch requests.Initiate and manage proto sample requests and product sample timelines within the CBX system.Utilize Adobe Illustrator to create detailed flats, technical sketches, and production packs.Maintain accurate production CADs available in the CBX platform, ensuring that all tech sketches, silos, and construction details are up-to-date throughout the product lifecycle.Apply a thorough understanding of yarns, garment movement, and technical construction to effectively communicate with Fit, Product Development, factories, and customers.Attend fittings and use technical knowledge to refine designs, balancing aesthetics, functionality, and cost considerations.Oversee the management/maintenance of proto and TOP samples, ensuring they meet design specifications and quality standards.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's Degree in Fashion DesignAt least 7-10 years of design experience in related categories of Active and Intimate ApparelExtensive experience in technical activewear within a successful commercial spaceStrong written and verbal communication skills to thrive in a high-paced work environment.Experience with Cross-functional project managementKnowledge of 3D design (Browzwear, CLO) would be a benefit.Travel would be required.Passion and understanding of the activewear & intimates fashion industry, fitness/training.PERKS AND BENEFITS:Flexible working schedule (hybrid model)Generous vacation allotment + personal daysComprehensive medical benefit with access to telemedicine and EAPFinancial benefits include 401(k)Birthday's offSummer Fridays (half-days every Friday between Memorial Day and Labor Day)Complimentary Gym membershipPublic Transit expenses covered.FREE TO BEAs a purpose-led, performance-driven company, we strive to foster a culture of belonging based on respect, connection, openness, and authenticity.
