The Nasdaq Investment Intelligence business provides innovative alternative, real-time and historical information products for multiple asset classes, as well as analytic solutions designed for investors of all sizes and at every stage of the investment lifecycle.In order to make an application, simply read through the following job description and make sure to attach relevant documents.The Nasdaq Alternative Data and Data Fabric team works with clients on the exploration and use cases for cutting edge alternative data sources that can translate into critical information, trading signals and/or longer-term investment ideas. The team also works with investment clients on our data platform as a service, and API tools.The Sales Director role in the Americas Region is responsible for growing and retaining the distribution of our data management platform (Data Fabric) along with our Alternative data across a wide spectrum of customers, with a primary focus on hedge funds.A typical day will include:Analyzing and prioritizing development of sales, retention, and marketing initiatives that support a growth with a combination of an existing book of business and whitespace - ultimately driving revenue and generating business with prospective as well as existing customers.Closing deals in order to meet individual/team targets and outcomes within schedule.High level interactions with customers/prospects within own territory.Conduct regular status and strategy meetings with executives to understand their needs and link them to Nasdaq product/services.Proactively drive the implementation of products and coordinate communication, maintenance and new development across Nasdaq relevant business units.Track sales efforts (calls, meetings, events) through use of CRM and other sales applications.Support development of new products and enhancement of existing information products as liaison between assigned firms and Nasdaq product management staff.Provide strategic input to the product development and compliance groups within Nasdaq's global data business.Represent Nasdaq in professional industry group meetings, seminars, and conferences to further relationships with prospective and existing customers providing visibility into our products.You will need to demonstrate skills/experience in:To be successful, you'll need to be passionate about our business, thrive in a demanding, fast-paced environment, be a team player, and be extremely proactive with our customers.Ability to work in a fast paced and demanding environment.Occasional work outside of regular business hours and travel required.Highly energetic and self-starter.Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills with proven track record.Strong understanding of hedge funds, alternative data, and the data management and services space.Education Required: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or marketing/sales.Working knowledge of CRM and other sales applications.Highly proficient in computer and technology skills.Excellent sales, communication, and time management skills.And it would be great if you also have experience in:Ability to multi-task activities with shifting priorities.Minimum of 4-7 years in Sales, within finance, tech, or market information services industry preferred.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Interest in the markets, alternative data, and the investment management space.Successful candidate will need to develop subject matter expertise in complex Nasdaq offerings and tailor solutions to meet the unique needs of the customer.General understanding of cloud Solutions, and API technology.Come as You AreNasdaq is an equal opportunity employer.
