For students, for future generations, for the future of education.What You'll ContributeAs a Marketing Manager on our Private Student Loan Marketing team, you will own our Third-Party DTC marketing strategy and support other efforts across the DTC Marketing Team to deliver innovative marketing campaigns to drive portfolio growth. You will own and manage key components of marketing campaigns, including email, direct mail and SMS strategy/planning, creative development, partnering with marketing operations to oversee distribution and reporting and data analysis to drive optimization.You must be a data-driven and motivated self-starter with excellent organization skills, high attention to detail, able to manage multiple priorities and with a passion for designing best-in-class marketing aimed at engaging students and parents to deliver on the Sallie Mae mission.What You'll DoMarketing Execution and Project ManagementDevelops and owns project plans/timelines that outline all creative requests, program execution details, and core dependencies to keep marketing initiatives on schedule.Supports efforts to build email, SMS, OTMB, and direct mail strategies to support needs/goals of business and product areas, including strategic and efficiency recommendations for action-based journey campaigns, cadence and frequency and design of campaigns to ensure optimal delivery experience.Participates in interface and collaboration with multiple stakeholders and partners to identify opportunities for top performance and alignment for the customer journey.Assists with creative, executing and managing a robust test and learn roadmap and strategy in collaboration with program managers, marketing channel owners and internal analytics teams.Reviews/Approves all creative prior to campaign deployment and ensure that campaigns are delivered accurately and on schedule.Owns the maintenance of evergreen marketing materials including digital and print assets.Performance ManagementAnalyze and report on marketing campaigns, developing recommendations to improve performance against defined KPIs.Take quantitative approach to provide Channel and Program Managers and Leaders with core insights and use data visualization tools to present findings.Regularly monitors and documents competitive efforts with key insights and recommendations.Reporting performance directly to stakeholders in presentation form.Risk ManagementFirst line of defense for accuracy of marketing campaigns and collateral.Maintains all required and relevant documentation for marketing activities.Develop (as needed) policy and procedure documentation.Work closely with partners in the risk / compliance organization to develop secure approval.Adhere to prescribed approved material archival processes.The above information is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees assigned to this job; it is not designed to contain or be interpreted as a comprehensive inventory of all duties, responsibilities and qualifications required of employees in this role.What you haveMinimum education, skills and experience required.Education:Bachelor's Degree - Preferred area of study in Marketing or Business Administration.Experience:5+ years of relevant work experience.Demonstrated experience in managing email campaigns, SMS campaigns and direct mail, including working with internal analytics and operational teams, as well as external vendors.Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing acquisition marketing strategies/tactics, including but not limited to segmentation and testing, campaign development and optimization, and results/analysis.Demonstrated expertise in email and SMS platforms.Experience in heavily regulated industry (FiServ/Pharma/etc.).Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Demonstrated ability to think creatively and work successfully in an ambiguous environment.Excellent verbal and written communications skills suitable for all levels of management.Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret data to drive actionable insights.Excellent organizational and project management skills (attention to detail, handling multiple priorities, managing tight timelines).Proactive and results-oriented mindset, with confidence to identify opportunities for improvement that ultimately drive success within the business.Proficient user of all Microsoft applications such as PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Word.The Americans with Disabilities ActThe Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) prohibits discrimination by employers, in compensation and employment opportunities, against qualified individuals with disabilities who, with or without reasonable accommodation, can perform the "essential functions" of a job.
