You will learn and understand industry, personas, and problems to enable you to deliver leading human centric design as part of a generational shift in technology use by customers. You will be directly involved in establishing simple, intuitive, and easy to use software products that bring joy to users. Your efforts will contribute to optimizing the overall user experience for a human centered approach that will influence engineering and manufacturing. Areas of work include research, prototyping, user experience design, and creation of visual assets and documentation to properly implement product outcomes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams such as Product, Product Development, Product Marketing, and Senior Management. Experience in a technical environment is required as well as extraordinary visual user interface design skills, and user-centered design principles. Interest in new technologies in web, mobile, and other devices is a requirement. The work that you design will be seen and experienced globally by people working in a renewable industry that is vital to the wellbeing of people everywhere.Key ResponsibilitiesWorking independently as a self-starter who is self-motivated, delivers research, creates prototypes, and designs user experiences for global software products under minimal supervision. Be the leading voice and advocate for consistency, color use, typography, and subtle details that distinguish Trimble products and make them internationally recognizable. Grasp and distill highly complex issues and translate them into clean, focused, understandable solutions that are aesthetically pleasing. Communicate effectively and remain organized to deliver as part of a team against a multi-year product-suite roadmap.What Skills & Experience You Should Have5+ years work experienceOn-line portfolio showcasing UX, UI and visual design work for mobile, desktop, web.Proven experience as a User Experience Designer, Product Designer, or Application DesignerBachelor's Degree in Interaction, Graphic Design, Media Arts or similar.A command of visual and communication design principlesAbility to communicate design concepts through sketches and wireframes.Highly skilled in Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator and other design tools.Ability to prototype in HTML/CSS/JavaScript, AfterEffects, or other tools.Experience in designing and delivering responsive web design as well as complete iOS and Android app experiences working with a development team.Exposure to applications developed with Angular, React and other js-based frameworks is helpfulEnthusiasm for an iterative design process, inspired by group critique.Excellent communication and presentation skills; both written and verbal.Use of Miro, Jira, Aha, and GSuite are nice to have.Previous experience working in an industrial design environment is a plus.A passion for designing great products is a requirement.About Trimble ForestryTrimble's Forestry Division offers SaaS and enterprise software to improve the productivity and sustainability of the world's most recognized integrated forest product companies, forest managers, conservation organizations, government departments, finished product manufacturers, and the partners that connect the global forest supply chain.
