This program will oversee the daily operations and strategic growth of Meals on Wheels, which provides meal delivery, care and friendly support to homebound individuals living in Clarke County. The ideal candidate will have a strong public service history, enjoy engaging with a wide variety of clients and volunteers, and be able to both manage daily details and dream and plan for long-term success.The Meals on Wheels Director reports to the Director of Programs and Services and provides direct supervision to MOW staff, volunteers and interns.This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8 AM-4:30 PM.About Us: ACCA's mission is to promote a lifetime of wellness through engagement, advocacy, education, and support. You can find them on our website here: /about-usEssential ResponsibilitiesProgram Management and LeadershipManage the overall operation of the Meals on Wheels program, including meal distribution, volunteer assignments, and client relations.Oversee the scheduling, distribution, and tracking of meal deliveries, ensuring accuracy in client information and timely service.Provide direct supervision of Meals on Wheels staff and interns and maintain a congenial working atmosphere for staff through regular conferences, staff evaluations, and management meetings.Provide general support, training, recognition and supervision of Meals on Wheels volunteers in the execution of their duties. Create an environment where volunteers are recognized for the impact they make and enjoy the service they provide.Maintain strong relationships with clients, monitoring needs, satisfaction with services, and safety. Use agency and partner resources to respond, as appropriate.Work with food providers to ensure that meals meet dietary requirements, safety standards, and client preferences. Serve as primary point of contact for day-to-day operations with food vendors.Ensure ongoing compliance and reporting for all funding sources.Track program impact, including the number of clients served, volunteer engagement rates, and client satisfaction, to continuously improve service delivery.
