CLASS DESCRIPTIONAn Executive Assistant provides advice, staff assistance and administrative support to the Director of an agency. Work of this class involves no supervisory duties or responsibilities.Incumbents receive managerial direction from the Director. Employees in this class work a conventional workweek that may involve evening and weekend hours. Work is performed in an office where normal working conditions are encountered. Work requires minimal physical exertion.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSOn or before the date of filing the application, each candidate must:Take the next step in your career now, scroll down to read the full role description and make your application.EDUCATION: Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.ANDEXPERIENCE: Have five (5) years of experience in performing executive level administrative support work including two (2) years working in a confidential environment.OREQUIVALENCIES: Not applicable.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS AND ABILITIESKnowledge of the principles and practices of public administration.Ability to plan, organize and coordinate a program of administrative functions in a governmental organization.Ability to develop, implement and interpret policies, procedures and directives.Ability to research and compile administrative reports and documents and to analyze planning reports and statistical information.Ability to deal with confidential materials and situations with discretion, tact and diplomacy.Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.Administrative ability.EXAMINATION PROCESSApplicants must provide sufficient information on their application to show that they meet the qualifications for this recruitment.
