Can't forget the free products and the opportunity to have some meetings without Zoom!About the RoleHarry's is seeking a talented attorney to join its Legal team as Director, Legal - Global H&F Marketing for the Global H&F business unit of Harry's, Inc., comprising the Harry's and Flamingo brands. The successful candidate will be a close partner to the Global H&F marketing, R&D and regulatory teams, advising on everything from product development to go-to-market strategy and consumer-facing marketing claims. This position is based in Harry's headquarters in New York City. This is a great opportunity for an attorney who seeks significant responsibility and ownership, enjoys working closely with cross-functional partners, and wants to play a meaningful role in building strong and scalable processes for a dynamic company.ResponsibilitiesPartner with the Global H&F brand and R&D teams to understand the business' goals and commercial strategyReview and provide risk-aligned advice on product and brand advertising strategies and claims, including guidance on claim substantiation, across the US, Canada, UK and EU H&F businessesCollaborate with the Global H&F regulatory team to advise as necessary on marketing and product-related regulatory and compliance matters (e.g., FTC, FDA)Stay up to date on key developments and trends in advertising law, regulatory enforcement and competitor activity in product categories relevant to the Global H&F businessWork closely with the Enterprise legal team to ensure optimal business and legal outcomes on third party marketing-related challenges and inquiries and product-related intellectual property mattersDevelop processes and best practices for advertising claim development, review and approval to increase speed and improve complianceDraft, review and negotiate contracts of varying complexity in partnership with the Global H&F marketing and R&D teams, as necessaryExperience and Qualifications:8+ years of relevant marketing/advertising legal experience, including significant in-house CPG experienceExperience providing legal advice with respect to cosmetic, OTC and/or personal care productsExperience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements is preferredAbility to form strong relationships with cross-functional partners and business leaders, including on the marketing, R&D and regulatory teamsMember in good standing of the NY or other state barExcellent academic credentialsThis Should Describe You:You have outstanding legal technical skillsYou admit when you don't know the answer and work hard to get it; you love to learn new thingsYou are adept at developing innovative solutions to complicated legal problemsYou succeed by building strong working relationships with colleagues across levels, functions and teams, and you always think about how to help them excelYou are capable of owning projects from start to finish with minimal oversight and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentYou thrive on direct, honest and supportive communicationWho You'll Work With:This role will report to the Senior Director, Legal - Global H&FYour work will be primarily cross-functional in nature - you will collaborate particularly closely with the Global H&F marketing, R&D and regulatory teamsYou'll efficiently collaborate with outside counselBenefits and perksMedical, dental, and vision coverageEquity in Harry'sFlexible time off and working hoursWellness and L&D stipends4 weeks sabbatical after 5 years, 6 weeks after 10 years, and 8 weeks after 15 yearsUp to 20 weeks of pregnancy leave and up to 16 weeks of parental leaveFun IRL and virtual events including happy hours, team building events, and parties on our rooftopFree products from all of our brandsHarry's is committed to bringing together individuals from different backgrounds and perspectives.
