Summary:Our New York office is looking for a Senior Analyst to join the Data Strategy Team within NB Private Markets. The team provides centralized oversight of end-to-end investment and portfolio data including acquisition, ingestion, quality control and data accessibility. This team functions as the first line of defense to triage, coordinate, and complete data requests across all NB Private Markets divisions. This person will play a key role in developing data domain expertise to provide high quality data sets and analytical results to internal teams, senior management team and clients. This role will also actively lead and engage in automating and digitalizing reports across various business functions. The role requires a close partnership with external data providers and other functions within the organization including the Front Office, Data Management, CRM, Finance, Legal, Technology, and Marketing teams.The NB Private Markets business includes Primary, Secondary and Co-investments in Private Equity, Primary and Secondary Private Credit as well as other Private Market products such as funds of Hedge Funds, Consumer Brands, coupled with all the complexity of a fast growing, pioneering, and privately owned global asset manager.Responsibilities:Provide oversight and product management on overall data modeling and entity management for all data domainsWork with Investment team, Marketing, Client Reporting, Finance and other end users to understand reporting and data needs, gather requirements and work with technology to build outputsProvide oversight to data operations team, offshore consultants, and junior members on the team, provide guidance on prioritizations, process optimization and workload managementRespond, triage and coordinate data requests for internal and client reportingIdentify new data sources, conduct active market research on data providers and work with technology team to design and implement solutionsSummarize and communicate insights and relevance of data analysis clearly and succinctly to bring data into actionable insightsEngage in client reporting life cycle including review or develop client specific data templates, identifying data sources and owners, assist with data compiling and quality control.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, accounting or information technology5-8 years' hands-on experience in financial industry setting preferredPrior management and supervisory experience strongly preferredFamiliarity with various alternative strategies (e.g. Private Equity, Private Credit, Venture Capital).Experiences with Chronograph, iLevel, Burgiess, Cobalt or other portfolio monitoring tools is a plusMust be detail oriented and organized, possess good analytical and time management skillsPrior experience with data warehouse, data modeling and data analysis is a plusKnowledge with SQL, Tableau or other BI tools is a plus but not requiredMust be able to handle multipleassignments/initiativesTeam player with strong work ethic and positive attitude.Ability to work independently and demonstrate critical thinking.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Compensation DetailsThe salary range for this role is $120,000-$170,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus.
