Job Description What's the Role? We are looking for an analytical Digital Marketing Manager to join our Performance Marketing team and lead the optimization of feed-based display and social campaigns. This person will work across major advertising channels (Google Display Network, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Programmatic) where large-scale, dynamic product feed experience is essential. Experience with large-scale display campaigns through Demand Side Platforms (DSPs) is an additional benefit as we continue to expand marketing efforts into the Programmatic space. This person is accustomed to leading and optimizing performance campaigns with specific direct response goals (ROI, LTV), translating paid media strategy into concrete plans with agencies and internal partners, and executing those plans to reach Etsy buyers around the world. This is a full-time position reporting to the Performance Marketing Manager, Paid Social and the base salary range will be 101,000 -131,000 USD per year. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy. For this role, we are considering candidates based in the United States. You will have the option to work office-based, flex or remotely. Candidates living within commutable distance of the Etsy Brooklyn Hub, or within the San Francisco area, may be the first to be considered. What does the day-to-day look like? Lead all aspects of day to day management of large portions of Etsy's Global Display & Dynamic Social program, optimizing towards strict performance goals via campaign development, testing, learning, bid strategies, targeting, and optimization to GMS and revenue. Lead external agencies and technologies effectively towards ambitious return on investment goals; maximizing service/offerings and recognizing needs for strategic guidance/gaps in internal resources. Deliver reporting, insights, and forecasts that accurately and appropriately measure channel performance on a daily/annual basis. Work with analytics to build incrementality tests to set up accurate attribution models for all tactics within the channel and discover optimization opportunities cross-channel. Collaborate with internal, cross-functional partners to strengthen the Programmatic Display program such as feed optimization with engineering, creative and audience strategy. Stay on top of the always-evolving digital marketing landscape, from industry news to emerging technology. Of course, this is just a sample of the kinds of work this role will require! Qualifications Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are: You have 5+ years of shown success in leading all aspects of large-scale ($25M+) Feed-based Display & Social campaigns to specific return on investment goals; Experience in e-commerce and multi-sided marketplaces is preferred. You have deep familiarity with feed-based channels such as Google Display Network and Facebook and ideally Demand Side Platforms (DSPs) like The Trade Desk, DV360, AppNexus / Xandr, MediaMath. Strong experience across ad networks and exchanges, multi-touch attribution models, and web/app tracking. Background in multivariate testing is a plus. You have worked with product catalogs of over 10k+ SKUs and identified high-impact feed optimization opportunities. You have the ability to assess and communicate key strategic risks and opportunities. You are knowledgeable across additional performance channels such as Search, Shopping & Affiliates. You have familiarity with data platform tools such as Looker, Mobius, or Google Analytics. You have expertise with sophisticated and advanced multi-touch attribution (MTA) models and optimize to that attribution, including with partners like Neustar, AppsFlyer, VisualIQ, etc. You have strong critical thinking skills coupled with a bias towards action so as to anticipate and navigate the constantly changing marketing landscape. You are a natural collaborator who is able to build positive relationships across the company and drive decision-making. Candidates with SQL experience - translating raw data into insights to guide campaign optimization decisions - are preferred.
