Mejuri continues to reach new customers through exciting community initiatives and expansion into international markets, such as the UK, Australia and Germany.We are looking for a passionate, creative leader with exceptional project management skills and experience designing retail spaces. Reporting directly to our Sr Director Experience Design, our ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the creative development, oversight, and technical execution of our retail store design, in-store retail campaigns, and out of home activations and events. Projects have the potential to range from small and retail needs, to large (store design) and activations and workplace design. You will work independently and cross functionally with leasing, experiential designers, architects, construction & facilities managers, merchandising and retail operations departments to ensure our store aesthetic reflects our brand ethos and our store design supports day to day operations. You are organized yet creative, passionate about the details, and recognize that getting the best from others requires strong relationships and the ability to roll up your sleeves.To sparkle in this role, you will:Support the ongoing development of our retail store design, with a focus on execution; ensuring the aesthetic & functionality of the retail store reflects our brand and enables store teams to maximize revenue. This includes store layout, fixture design, finish selection etc.Effectively collaborate with key functions of the business to gather feedback to drive continuous improvement within store designCollaborate with construction team to ensure spaces are designed economicallyPartner with selected architects and designers to ensure design standards are met.Review drawing sets for each location (demolition plan, floor plan, interior & exterior elevations, paint and wall schedules etc)Source and select materials specsLead design review meetings to ensure stakeholder alignment and to achieve ongoing improvement and redevelopment of our store design.Act as the primary contact between architect & construction team members/contractors.Support a broad project scope including new, expansion, relocation, renovation, closure and pop up spaces.Manage multiple projects ensuring all deliverables are achieved on time & on budget. This role will oversee up to 15 stores/year.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Continuously seek to develop repeatable & scalable tools and processes to support rapid growth and international expansionAccountable to achieving the budget provided by Expansion Manager and drive cost savings through smart designPerform site visits as required.Creative oversight and management of creative elements including graphics, florals, and creative elements within the store.Partnership with VM and design partner to store elements as neededUp to 25% of time spent on non-retail store openings, including visual merchandising product display form design, creative campaign brainstorm and design integration at retail, window display design, activations, events, workplace design, and other design needs.Our bright and shiny candidate has:Demonstrated experience in retail design and architecture2+ years operating as Project ManagerDesign and manage millwork design and shop drawings.Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture or related fieldProficient in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative SuiteStrong PortfolioStrong verbal communication skills & graphic presentation skillsAbility to multi task across various projectsExcellent knowledge of the retail industry across North America and internationally.Is creative and stays ahead of design trends.An entrepreneurial spirit who thinks outside the boxProven experience delivering large scale projects on time & budget.Detail-oriented and capable of managing projects with excellent follow through and accuracyAble to identify opportunities and enjoys problem solving. Mejuri recognizes the importance of pay transparency when it comes to salary ranges as it empowers individuals through the hiring process and supports them in making an informed decision.
