At SARC, we believe in fostering an environment of trust, respect, and inclusivity, regardless of race, creed, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, or economic circumstances.About the Role: As a Residential Advocate at SARC, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and welcoming environment for residents of our shelter. Your responsibilities will include:Greeting residents and responding to their requests for assistance or supplies with compassion and empathy.Conducting intakes and orienting survivors and their children to the shelter, ensuring their initial needs are met.Maintaining cleanliness and order of the shelter, including restocking supplies, laundry, and conducting regular security checks.Providing crisis intervention services, including answering emergency hotlines, safety planning, and offering emotional support.Collaborating with on-call staff to address emergencies and issues related to residents.Schedule:This role would be full time, Monday-Friday, with an approximate start time of 8-10am and an approximate end time of 4-6pm.$19.00/hour, plus a $2/hour shift differential for any shifts worked between the hours of 8pm and 8am.RequirementsNecessary Skills:Desire to gain experience working with victims/survivors of domestic violence.Attention to detail, emotional maturity, flexibility, and ability to work independently.Physical ability to climb steps and lift occasional bulky items.Requirements for Consideration:A valid driver's license.Preferred Experience:At least 1 year in crisis intervention.What We Offer You:Enjoy 11 paid holidays plus two floating holidays for full-time positions, and 1 floating holiday for part-time roles.Receive up to 112 hours of accrued vacation time in your first year of employment (part-time positions working under 10 hours/week are not eligible).Access up to 96 hours of sick leave annually (part-time roles working under 10 hours/week are not eligible).Choose from 3 Health Plan options, with a generous employer HSA contribution.Benefit from 100% employer-paid premiums for the standard health insurance plan for individual coverage.Take advantage of dental and vision insurance, dependent care FSA, voluntary life and AD&D coverage.Receive an employer-paid parking pass for added convenience.These benefits are designed to support your well-being and ensure you have the resources you need to thrive both personally and professionally.#J-18808-Ljbffr
