Description Nitsch Engineering is seeking a Transportation Project Manager to join our team at one of our three Massachusetts offices in Boston, Lawrence, or Worcester! ResponsibilitiesDevelop and oversee all aspects of transportation engineering projects for local and state government clients (MassDOT, City of Boston, and Municipal Agencies)Supervise the project team (including subconsultants), coordinating their efforts, mediating any disagreements, mentoring staff, and making decisions which reflect the best interest of both the company and its clientsPerform technical quality control reviewsPrepare and oversee the preparation of milestone and final submissionsManage transportation studies, design of roadways, streets, intersections, and ancillary facilitiesOversee the preparation of construction documents, specifications, estimates, and engineering reportsDevelop new business by attending networking, client, and municipal eventsRequirementsBS in Civil EngineeringMassachusetts Professional Engineer License, or the ability to obtain one within one year if currently licensed in another state10+ years' experience in Transportation/Highway engineeringKnowledge of project management roles and responsibilities and a history of successful client managementExperience in performing and overseeing analysis and design, preparing calculations, developing details, preparing specifications and estimates as well as directing the preparation of bid documentsAdvanced understanding of project metrics, including scope, budget, multiplier, additional service needs, and programs used to track metricsExperience with construction administration services including interpreting design intent, evaluating construction for compliance with contract documents, and directing of engineering support personnelExperience in preparing proposals, business development, and the ability to make public presentationsAdvanced knowledge of engineering programs including, but not limited to, AutoCAD Civil 3DAbout UsNitsch Engineering is an employee-owned, mid-sized engineering firm providing land development and sustainable site solutions in our communities.
