Job Summary:A high number of candidates may make applications for this position, so make sure to send your CV and application through as soon as possible.As an Estimator, you will be responsible for analyzing project documents, specifications, and blueprints to create detailed cost estimates for drywall installation projects. You will work closely with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure all costs are accounted for and bids are competitive.Key Responsibilities:Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to determine the scope of work for drywall installationPrepare detailed and accurate estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and overheadCoordinate with project managers and suppliers to gather all necessary information for cost estimationCollaborate with subcontractors and vendors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and servicesPrepare bid proposals and ensure timely submissions for tenders and contractsTrack and assess changes in project scope, updating estimates as necessaryConduct site visits and client consultations to gather additional information when requiredMaintain and update estimating software and databases with current pricing for materials and laborProvide support to the project management team during project handovers, ensuring that all estimate details are clearly communicatedStay up to date with industry standards, materials, and construction methods to provide accurate estimatesQualifications:Proven experience as an Estimator in the drywall or construction industryStrong understanding of drywall systems, materials, and installation methodsProficiency in reading and interpreting architectural plans, blueprints, and specificationsExperience with estimating software and tools (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar)Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with strong attention to detailAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneouslyStrong communication and negotiation skills for working with subcontractors and suppliersBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not requiredBenefits:Competitive salary based on experienceHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysProfessional growth and development opportunitiesHow to Apply:Please submit your resume and a cover letter to Andrew.mcwhirter@ with the subject line "Estimator - Drywall Company."All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.
