Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Litigation Legal Assistant for a temporary position with a fast-paced organization. The successful candidate will provide essential legal and administrative support to attorneys. This assignment is expected to last 6 weeks, with the potential for extension. This position is hybrid in NYC with 3 days on-site. Please ensure you read the below overview and requirements for this employment opportunity completely.Key Responsibilities: Provide administrative and clerical support to litigation attorneys Draft, format, and e-file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and correspondence Prepare Tables of Contents (TOC) and Tables of Authorities (TOA) for briefs and other legal filings Coordinate and schedule depositions, meetings, and court appearances Maintain and organize case files, both physical and electronic Communicate with clients, court personnel, and external parties as needed Conduct basic legal research and assist with document review Ensure deadlines are met and handle time-sensitive tasksQualifications: 3+ years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in litigation Experience with e-filing in NYC federal and/or state courts Proficiency in drafting TOCs, TOAs, and familiarity with litigation procedures and court rules Knowledge of legal software, including case management and e-filing systems (experience with netdocs, a plus) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skillsPay Rate: $35-$45/hourPay Details: $35.00 to $45.00 per hourSearch managed by: Jessica Haines Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
