Exciting Opportunity: Credit Department ManagerAre you an experienced credit analyst with a passion for leadership? We are seeking a Credit Department Manager to oversee our credit department and team of credit analysts. If you have a strong background in commercial credit analysis and are ready to take on a leadership role, we want to hear from you!ResponsibilitiesAs the Credit Department Manager, you will:Please make sure you read the following details carefully before making any applications.Lead the Credit Team: Oversee the credit department and credit analysts, participating with the CEO in identifying, recruiting, and interviewing new credit analysts.Train and Mentor: Participate in the orientation and training of new credit analysts, monitoring their work product during the first year as needed.Quality Control: Monitor the work product generated by credit analysts, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained.Performance Reviews: Conduct annual performance reviews of credit analysts.Collaborate: Work collaboratively with staff to maintain high-quality work products and underwriting standards in credit union loan policies.Credit Analysis: Perform credit analysis, real estate market, and industry research to support the credit relationships of commercial and business lenders. Prepare credit memoranda and annual review documents for loan approval and file maintenance, ensuring compliance with NCUA regulations and credit union loan policy.Risk Management: Identify policy exceptions and key credit risks on loan requests, recommend appropriate risk grades, and identify mitigations for policy exceptions and credit risks.Documentation: Perform the credit analysis and file documentation necessary to present credit requests for co-approval and maintain file documentation consistent with loan policy.Loan Closings: Occasionally prepare loan documents for loan closings.Professional Representation: Represent the company in a professional manner in the local community and with member credit unions and their personnel.Minimum QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent education, work experience, and related training.Experience: 8-10 years of Commercial Credit Analysis experience.Skills: Strong interpersonal, verbal, written, negotiating, analytical, and credit skills.
