This is a unique opportunity for a German-speaking funds/financial services lawyer who seeks not only superb client exposure and excellent quality legal work with the ability to further develop their skills, but also a more commercial, entrepreneurial role and regular interaction with key funds industry players.Qualifications, skills, and all relevant experience needed for this role can be found in the full description below.What we are looking for?Due to our successful and growing Management Company and AIFM business we are currently recruiting for a qualified lawyer (10 years' PQE) to join the Legal Team based in Luxembourg.What are the minimum requirements for the role?Qualified lawyer with 10 years' PQE in a similar roleFluent German and English (written and spoken) essentialExperience with and general knowledge of the laws and regulations impacting financial services providers and investment management businesses, including familiarity with UCITS, AIFMD and their related evolving regulatory, compliance and governance environment, covering a variety of fund product types and asset classesProven ability to coordinate and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic business and regulatory environmentWhat are your responsibilities?Supporting the business from a legal and regulatory perspective in Luxembourg as well as within the group and working in close collaboration with the business of the Swiss group entityAdvising and assisting 10 dedicated fund structures (UCITS and AIFs) on structuring, formation, launch, registration and distribution of the fund structuresAdvising and assisting initiators/clients on the UCITS and AIFs structures and coordinating with external Law Firm the issuance of the UCITS and AIFs documentationDrafting and negotiating various agreements and UCITS and AIFs documentation (including investment management agreements, prospectus, articles, distributions agreements, vendors agreements, any third party agreements etc)Advise and assist UCITS and AIFs Directors and Carne Conducting Officers on the fund structuresAssist with business development and sales activities and client services teams as required (incl. product development and special project work)Liaising with initiator/client's legal counselAssisting with drafting and implementing of regulatory documentsAd hoc projects as requiredWhat competencies do you require?Ability to develop excellent client relationships and to seek out other business opportunitiesHighly organised individualEnergetic and solutions-based team player who is willing to help and support your colleaguesCreative and practical in your approach to work and capable of delivering the required solutions to our ClientsComfortable working in a constant and rapidly changing environmentFirst-class communication and analytical skills requiredWho is Carne Group?Carne Group has established itself in the funds industry with $2tn in AUM supported by 700+ staff and four regulated management companies.
