A successful candidate will have a genuine passion for the hospitality industry and an entrepreneurial spirit.ResponsibilitiesMust be courteous and gracious, maintaining a professional demeanor at all timesEstablish and maintain good communications and teamwork with fellow colleagues and other departments within the hotelRespond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance as neededRedirect HR related calls or distribute correspondence to the appropriate person of the teamMaintain records of personnel-related data (payroll, benefits, personal information, leaves, turnover rates etc.) in both paper and the database and ensure all employment requirements are metAct as a liaison with other departments or functions (payroll, benefits etc.)Lead the recruitment/hiring process by sourcing candidates, performing background checks, assisting in shortlisting, issuing employment contracts etc.Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events etc. and maintain the team's agendaCoordinate training sessions and seminarsEnsure new hire orientations are conductedDevelop the onboarding process and update new hire recordsImplement policies and proceduresRespond to unemployment claimsCoordinate and facilitate benefit enrollment meetingsProcess payroll edits and review payroll for accuracyReview insurance carrier invoices for accuracyAssist in recommending and supporting employee relations programsProduce and submit reports on general HR activityAdhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos and verbal instructionsMaintain "open door" communication with employeesControl labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash controlResponsible for interviewing, selecting, training, guiding, managing and scheduling personnelMonitor and develop employee performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, conducting counseling, evaluations, setting annual goals and delivering recognition and rewardEnsure staff understands their job expectations before holding them accountableMaintain awareness of documentation needed and retained in employee filesBe familiar with all safety and emergency procedures including OSHA requirementsAttend relevant meetingsCore CompetenciesBachelor's degree in Business Administration or relevant field; additional education in Human Resource Management a plusBi/Multi-Lingual a plusAt least five (5) years' experience as an HR Director or relevant human resources/administrative positionKnowledge of human resources processes and best practicesStrong ability in using MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)Experience with HR databases and HRIS systems (e.g. ADP, Paycom)Ability to work with ATS softwareIn-depth understanding of sourcing tools, like resume databases and online communitiesFamiliarity with social media recruitingOutstanding communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to handle data with confidentialityExcellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English LanguageExcellent organizational and time management skillsExcellent attention to detailAbility to multitaskWork well under pressure, requires being a team playerCompensation & BenefitsWe offer competitive wages and benefits while fostering a diverse and inclusive work experience.#J-18808-Ljbffr
