The strategy will help ensure that channels are used to their full potential and support accelerating our current and future customers' confidence in choosing and using Xero through the customer lifecycle, ensuring they are able to unleash the potential of Xero to improve their business.You'll lead a team and influence through a clear compelling strategy and work with key stakeholders on implementation. You will develop a strong operating model that is scalable, collaborative and measurable.You'll work to bring the strategy to life through meaningful content campaigns that are prioritised around business objectives and customer growth. You will help elevate the internal brand of the Content Marketing team and ensure that there is effective measurement and reporting in place.What you'll doDrive a compelling global content channel and social strategy that supports improved usage and engagement among potential and existing Xero customersDesign a governance framework that is clear and well communicated across the business to ensure that the channels are effectively and strategically used globallyHold responsibility for the management and governance of all social media channelsCreate scalable procedures, measurement practices and templatesBe highly collaborative in developing the strategy and process around key channelsEnable across the Content Marketing team with hands on engagement and innovationWork with and influence stakeholders, encouraging alignment and collaborationHelp to manage change across the Content Marketing teamActively monitor content production and help teams improve with recommendations on improvements and alignment to strategyLead and coach a team of professionals around the globeSuccess looks likeXero has a clear, compelling and "global first" content marketing channel and social media strategy in placeROI for channels is well defined and shows improvement with correlation to strategy implementation in short and long termTeams adopt and use strategy for improved stakeholder outcomesThe Content Marketing team is recognized as positively impacting key channels through improved metrics and best in class executionThe social team is collaborating effectively and change management is a priority to ensure there is high impact operating modelThe Content Marketing team is engaged in key initiatives that are aligned to driving positive business outcomes (i.e., 3x3 strategy etc.)What you'll bring with youSenior content marketer, social media and team leadership experienceChannel strategy development and implementation, including YouTube, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok and blogsA demonstrable record of success and excellent communication skillsLeveraging data to form compelling strategic recommendationsDesigning and implementing best in class processes to operationalize teams and streamline workflowsInstilling confidence in stakeholders with data and effective measurement practicesAligning, setting and executing on global strategy and managing through to business outcomesWorking with global cross functional teamsWriting and editorial skillsProject, agency and budget managementDeep understanding of how to maximize the impact across content marketing and social media channelsTeam leadership and change managementContent and channel strategySelf-starter who is comfortable with building strategies from scratchPropensity for action and deliveryExcellent stakeholder management in a decentralized organizationIntegrated marketing, communications and content experienceHigh understanding of SEO and communicationsData driven decision makingCritical and innovative thinkingContent creation/writing productionCuriosity and an interest in channel trends and world class practicesOperational excellenceWhy Xero?Diversity of people brings diversity of thought, and we like that.
