The ideal candidate is highly motivated and detail-oriented, with at least 1+ years of recent US law firm experience. This is a full-time, in-office position located in Kansas City, Missouri.ResponsibilitiesManage and organize case files, including electronic and paper documentsConduct legal research and prepare case summariesDraft and review legal documents, such as pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondencePrepare for depositions, including scheduling, witness preparation, and exhibit organizationAssist with trial preparation, including creating deposition summaries, trial binders, and exhibit listsHandle e-filing of documents in state and federal courtsPerform general administrative tasks, such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing correspondenceQualificationsProficiency in Microsoft Word (including advanced formatting) and Excel (including pivot tables and formulas) is required and will be tested!Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to learn new legal case management software, document storage, and filing systems quicklyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload1+ years of previous Civil Litigation experience in a US law firm is requiredBeing bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not requiredCompensation and BenefitsCompetitive base salary of $52,800 per yearLucrative bonus structure based on firm performance and paid out monthlyEmployer-paid medical benefits for employees ($$$)Dental and vision insurance are available at a discounted rate401K with profit sharingIf moved forward after a virtual pre-screen interview, you must be willing to take the following assessments and provide 3 professional references to be considered for the role:Microsoft WordMicrosoft ExcelFollowing Written InstructionsNote: This position requires an on-site presence in our client/u2019s Kansas City office from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily.
