This position's tasks require a high level of organizational skills, moderately complex project tracking compilations, accounting clerical, and administrative experience.Paid As: Hourly, Non-Exempt Full-Time EmployeeHours of Operation: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday - Thursday, 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM FridayReports To: Grant Compliance Manager and Vice President of DevelopmentAGENCY EXPECTATION OF EMPLOYEEMaintain confidentiality of client, donor, volunteer, staff and board informationSupport the mission, vision and goals of Meals On Wheels, Inc. of Tarrant CountyRepresent Meals On Wheels in a professional manner at all timesDependable transportation, valid driver license and vehicle insurance as required by the State of TexasRequired to pass criminal background check and have a free and clear MVRAssist with meal delivery when volunteer callouts make it necessary for staff to deliverContribute to other projects when necessaryESSENTIAL JOB TASKSSupport for post-award grant monitoring, tracking, and reporting, including clerical duties such as gathering grant support, copying, scanning, filing, and faxingProvide assistance and support to ensure all grant funds are obligated and expended in a timely manner and in accordance with set processes and proceduresWork in a fast-paced and hard deadline-oriented environmentUnderstand content within client database and run database reportsGather support for monthly grant billings and accounting month-end deadlinesParticipate in the preparation of time-sensitive monthly grant billingsUpdate and maintain billing records and accounts, including grant payment history and upcoming grantsPrepare for grant and external auditsOther duties as assigned by Grant Compliance Manager and Vice President of DevelopmentQUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or equivalentREQUIREMENTSFundamental accounting skills and strong Microsoft Excel skillsKnowledge of Microsoft Office Access and WordPersonal qualities of integrity, credibility, discretion about confidential matters, and a strong work ethicStrong database and general computing skillsMust be able to understand processes and procedures, use independent judgment, and have the ability and experience to prioritize work responsibilities and work with little supervisionAble to learn new systems and understand how they interrelateExcellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, organizational skills, and proven ability to meet deadlinesInquisitive, enthusiastic approach to fulfilling job responsibilitiesStrong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsAble to work well both independently and as part of a teamTake initiative in performing tasks, staying proactive and dependableEXPERIENCERelevant experience in grant management or clerical bookkeeping or accounting#J-18808-Ljbffr
